1. Best thing to do with those buddy things, they will eat everything except what they were put in to eat
2. I've just been lent one by chap I'm helping do some site clearance as my 357xp has died again !! and now the chain brake on my Stihl 028 has broken yesterday, so will see what the 365 is like tomorrow, chap I've borrowed it off reckons their bullet proof and said if I can find one to buy it
3. Not a flutterby this time but found this rather stunned shre on the yard last night one of the horse must have kicked it or stood on it on way into stables
4. Dropped this earlier on a site clearance I'm helping on at the minute, big old apple tree, no sign externally of anything wrong couple of small dead limbs further up as would expect on an old uncared for apple tree, first indication anything was wrong was when it pinched as soon as tried to put gob cut in, soon as touched it for back cut went straight over, was still healthy enough to have good crop of apples on though
5. Does importing and kiln drying not defeat the point of firewood being a sustainable and ecologically friendly source of heating? If your thinking of pushing softwood more why not also look at fast growing hardwood hybrids such as willow, poplar and eucalyptus which have always been done down for firewood use as being too fast burning, I've been supplying poplar and willow mixed into my loads for years with no complaints
6. My 357 xp's on the bench again today, got it going last week after it being sat along while as it just refused to go, used it two days last week ran spot on plenty power etc, used it to cut some firewood other day and ran up stinking hot and cut out now cant get it going again, got fuel and spark and compression seems ok (not got compression tester though) but is just refusing to start
7. Even I struggle with some of the lads from north derbyshire worst of all is father in law whose from hartlepool its like one long low mumble, just have to hope I nod and smile in the right places
8. Hahaha sounds familiar, fethced another one in tonight so got 5 in the kitchen now and at least two more coming ready, saw a recipe for courgette and roast garlic soup in one of my books, off to peruse my preserves books again in a bit for inspiration
9. It happens mate, I'm the same I stress when I'm busy then I stress when I'm quiet, like now not been out the yard all week but you just have to find your own way to deal with it, I can tell now when I'm getting bad, busy stress I seem to deal with better as after few minutes I get my head together and get organised, quiet time stress is worst because theres nothing to occuy your mind apart from the worry that your not earning, I now try and direct myself towards doing jobs that have been waiting, ie maintenance or firewood to keep my mind occupied
10. Yep been going round for a while I've had it about 3 times now, very convincing though correct headings and type face etc Yep last one i had was £1.01 was'nt sure wether to bank it or frame it
11. Haha, first time I saw one of those was laying a path on a garden job, heard this droning behind me and turned to see one those hovering at eye level about 6 inches from the end of me nose, I reckon I gave linford christy a run for his money that day
12. Could be worse, on a job a few weeks back overheard the gardener telling his mate to be carefull strimming round the paths as he once smashed one of the windows in the customers conservatory
13. We had some similar to sort so got a 2ft bucket off an old whitlock digger and cut the back of it then bent and welded in some rebar to make a riddle bucket, use it on the back of our old jcb 3c soil needs to be reasonably dry but few shakes to seperate it and can then tip the rock on a different pile
14. Aye dunna mither youth spake as tha wants
15. Finallly back in the landrover fold after 18 months, went and bid the dealer in the nuts on this as it was a trade in, doesnt look as pretty underneath as it does out side but bit of welding and she'll be sound
16. They were built by carmicheal I think it was as a proper conversion on landrovers and rangerovers (thats not one obviously) the one they built were 6 x 6 as the first axle had a drive through diff but never really took off and are quite rare now, sorry landrover anorak
17. Well said Andy, have noticed some threads getting to the handbags at dawn stage recently I freely admit my grammar is terrible, never got the hang of it I can spell pretty well but ie usually trips me up in words but misspelling doesnt usually bother me when reading as I just read it anyway, I've got one of those brains that can read so long as its somewhere near spelt right
18. Found a load more courgettes last night Squashes are going mad, good crop of tomatoes but not ripening for some reason and my 50p cucumber plant from the supermarkets got about 15 cucumbers on it at the minute, had a roast last night with peas and carrots straight out the garden and home reared pork, spot on
19. Should all type the Queen's English like what I do
20.
Hi Eddie, I came across it on Facebook, but now you mention it I seem to remember seeing it somewhere else too, cheers Ed

21. We used to use a ferret locator for tracing drains, put the collar inside a straight water fitting with a stop end and attach to the drain rods, then use the locator box to track it as its fed in odd times I've used the cat scanner it gives you a general idea of the location of the cable or pipe but never found them particuarly accurate especially if wearing your toecaps
22. Just bought a new one of these as was going to get new visor for my old one then realised just how old it is, so spalshed out much comfier than my old husky helmet, thing that swayed it is the 6 point harness the stihl and oregon ones are only 4 point
23. Spotted an out of place caterpillar yesterday, didnt manage to get a pic but looked it up last night was a lime hawk moth, thing is we found it in a stand of norway spruce and no lime trees nearby?!
