  2. Got 3 days booked. Some easier ones. All easy enough work. St helens area Phone or text 07516348002 or pm me on here. Cheers!
  3. I'd love to buy it. If it was this time next year! It would tick all my boxes. However ATM I'm sticking with the navara as it's paid for and can be used on other tasks making it easier for everyone. I'd love a dedicated truck though!
  4. When climbing SRT with a friction hitch like a VT, using the hitch alone creates too much friction soothe hitch is very stiff, adding something like the rope wrench or a figure 8 hold some of the friction in the rope, thus decreasing the load on the hitch to a manageable amount. Hope that helps
  5. I spoke to a guy at a climbing day at college from buxtons. It's not on their website and I can't seem to find it elsewhere but it's similar in design to ocean polyester but it's blue and White. Looks cool. Wish I had bought some!
  6. The only way you'll get clean chip here is by chipping up some of the logs I've got, I do have a big pile of chip and if you wanted I could scoop it up but it would be a mix of conifer and some chestnut to get enough from one side. If that's any use. It's sat for a little bit so it's all brown
  7. I think I'll use asda pay at pump if they get funny elsewhere. It's a shame, maybe they were selling the looted gear to pay for the petrol!
  8. Doing this at any available opportunity [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1Kk0qkAxKU]Leaf blower fun - YouTube[/ame]
  9. Hmm, with 2l left and 5 days of work booked, I think I'll have to stick with th silky!
  10. a stabilising leg across the bottom of the ladder that doubles as a rear bar for your van, two birds and one stone!
  11. Thou shall buy the biggest blower available i.e. br600 to ensure less brushing up, making your crew think your awesome
  12. Upon a closer, more awake look, no it's not tachyon! Is that similar to the viper?
  13. You'll probably get about a skipfull I'll get my coat I would just mash it up in the skip if that was the only choice, it's surprising what it goes down to!
  14. Thinning can all too often become lion tailing! Plenty round here done by the council. They work out of mewps. Would not like to climb some of those trees without spikes. Probably couldn't!
  15. seems like they knew more than we care to realise! I'm in between Liverpool and Manchester, with people I know in both areas, nit directly affected but it's not far away. I wish everyone is safe in the affected areas. I think tear gas and plastic bullets should sort them out. People left in their homes will outnumber those scumbags in the street, why not all go up in arms and defend their own communities?
  16. I've just Received permission for some reduction and other pruning works at one site, no issues with that here
  17. Same here! Easy reading! Did you find a lady friend that did everything you asked and didn't complain or moan?
  18. Nice! I do agree with Steve though! Tachyon as friction cord? How does that work out?
  19. Can you not bend the bar a bit? I was going to say you left your sprite on the chipper and it got shaken up a lot!
  20. myerscough do offer a distance learning for the BSc, ill be doing the full time on campus top up this year, they seem to be fairly free with information regarding courses and how to go about it, definitely give them a call
  21. I've been with my girlfriend for nearly 4 years now, half way through our first year my parents split up so I was left pretty much looking after myself, we cook together, she usually preps and I cook, if I've had a long day she can usually manage something on her own. Her lasagnes are ace! We are In telco most nights. Can't usually plan much further than lunch and see what we feel like for tea and just grab it from the shop. I can cook for myself well enough. Ask my mum once in a while for some tea and that always goes down a treat!
  22. Looking at them again the pin is pressed at the back so they could probably have been duds.
  23. Found these little(ish!) blighters while grinding some bolts off on our old barn. These were hidden on top of a piece of wood which has been there at least 40 years! The wood was from the Americans at the end of WW2. They didn't want it so my grandad took some when they were at the docks and they burnt the rest before he could get more. Does anybody know what type of bullets they are? There are some markings but they are a bit obscure. There's an '89' on one of them.
  24. Firewood! Id go with river burch, the flat plates on the bark have light coloured lenticels on them and are smooth, similar to birch characteristics. Doesnt look like willow, for its size the fissures seem too deep.
  25. As above, will need it in the next week or two. All conifer chip. 07516348002 Cheers
