have you thought about going back to them and saying, 'think you must have given me someone elses blades, these are way too ground down'. see what they say. perhaps work marking them so you know you are getting your ones back too.

ive had a couple bg86' s very good. had stihl backpacks too, which are great - lasted well - 5 years plus blowing on estates ( hard work ). the bg86 is hardier than it looks too, groundie put one under my truck during the day, it was on rough ground so when i pulled away i thought i was going over a bump. she's got some rubber marks on her and an ill fitting air filter, but all in all, survived a 130 landy on top of it! trashes clean up times, totaly indespensible kit:001_smile:

have to find my local womans team...! the germans are taking up rugby at grass roots like you wouldnt belive, small towns employing kiwi and ozzy coaches etc, money being pumped in. so funny watching them, they dont really get it and wind each other up no end. gets serious and this moodiness continues after the game. they dont realise you leave it on the pitch! scotland v france tommorow is gonna be a belter. scot are hungry and its in murrayfield + bad weather on sunday...

heres a fact you may or not know about robins... in europe robins are not tame (semi tame), like our native robins. true! ornathologists put this down to the fact that they have leant to become friends of the british because of the excessive amount of time we spend in our gardens, this trait has taught them to be close to a gardener, and reap the benefit of us tilling the soil. (worms and bugs and that) crazy eh!?

thats very well put. judging by the last time i was in Dam, i wish they had spent a bit more money on training of the council workers, they were chipping onto, rather than into wagons with 1 foot high sides, spraying everyone! + no barriered areas. is there any other trees people know thats had that level of care and finnance due to its historical importance?

the public doesnt know what an arbourist is, full stop... my mates company was, 'the log and leaf technicians'. which i always liked, up for grabs, cos he got the fear and wont climb no more! there was a all female arb team called ' the lumber jills' which was a gooden.

if you have already published this advert, i think you DO have a leg to stand on. however it is a personal legal battle you have to chase. however, i do recall someone saying to me its a different kettle o fish if they have copied web content off you. i think this is the one place that the web self regulates pretty well. if they have copied you and have published it as their own, their web host has to remove it. problem is how do you find out their web host is. (and how much money you are willing to give to legal people!) how incredibly boring for you...

has anyone fractured a big willow? it needs weight taking off it drasticaly and dont have many options as theres not alot left on it. i doubt fractures are possible as the tree is a nasty, nasty climb and am worried if big fractures are possble, due to the nature of the wood and having a man sitting any where near the possible fracture places. good candidate for monster cornet cuts?? Dave (treeson) and i stood and scratched out heads for a little while and im still undecided. any advice please.

thur and friday, st.Andrews lifting an big ash, big sycamore, huge oak over path big willow on frinday, repairing some storm damage, thinking of doing some cornet cuts in this fellow as it needs some drastic action as it seems to be destroying it year after year. im supposed to be building an oak and elm bridge underneath it:011: ( from timber on site- alaskan style )

well, whats the solution? these threads conclude that people go to cheap, dodgy workers, because of price. perhaps everone should include in their next advertising a, ' why go for a proper surgery company' pull-out info sheet. highlghting good code of practice, what to look for in a company, what to look for on a quote (often tell tale signs of a bad one) and other good advice. circulate it on arbtalk, send it out as a standardised help sheet, preformed pdf, share the same one and update it 6 monthly / yearly. does your crap landscaper come on here 4 hints and tips? i doubt it. have the arbtalk adress on the bottom,perhaps. clients can come on here and check out profiles. see past work, pics etc. the answer is right here...arbtalk! can arbtalk provide customer reassurance? is this permissable by the people who run it? i dont know, but this could be a good portal for that... before another rant starts ( justified rant that is!) how about DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!

we can all fall foul to this, esp. when a neighbour pops there head over the wall and asks you to do an impromtu job. i keep a triplicate book in the wagon, for those quick jobs. for the cost of £2.00 its a winner.

cocked one up this year, limes were bigger than i remembered them being, client offered to pay more, i declined and hes already asked me back to do more work. good to stick too your price. i try to never price in the rain, which is tricky up here!
