  2. Hhhheeeeeeeellllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. according to beaverplant, its when a hired from new chipper gets to the point of being sellable as a secondhand whilst still bein worth a fair price. its shortly after 100hrs that you start spending to keep it in tiptop nick. not sure how true that is, but its a good guide if you want to part exchange for a new one. just the same as vans, cars, chainsaws and anything else part exchangable. theres always a cut-off point.
  4. to be honest bob, id say go to beaverplant. i kno redwood uk seem to be distributors, but iv neva found a web 4 them, i used beaverplant when i worked at enterprise, and theyve always been good to us, the teupens were fantastic!! if they cant sell you one, they will kno where to go! beware of the 100hr rule if your buying a secondhand one tho.
  5. hiya! im trying to get into the world of training, so just thort id pop up and say hi, iv already been for a job interview@sparsholt, didnt get it tho!

  13. its very helpful!!!! i wouldnt mind a treeflex if you've got one, i work with one at the mo but im not allowed to use kit at the weekends, so i need some kit!

  15. im yung n single, i can oggle whoever i like!! your gonna tell me she's a bloke now!!!! hahaha!!!!!
  16. officialy they are just footbridges, but im not guarding them 24/7 so i have no idea!! the bridges are usualy in the middle of woodlands, so anyone and anything can use them, including the wildlife!! your bridge looks quite substantial so it shouldnt need much doing to it. who's the chick? i might even take up horse riding!! teehee!!
  17. yep! i wouldnt mind one of those, but i cant get one anywhere!! pray tell..........
  18. ecology is fast becoming an industry in its own, because the only way developers get planning permits is to say they have an ecologist! our industry is fast turning into "they point, you cut"
  19. iv had a lifetime in this game one way or another, and i find there are quite a few peeps who genuinly care about what they do, and care about making the effort to improve things. i also find thers far too many w*****s who are only bothered in making a quick buck. i also find its them who get the contracts because they can offer a lower price, regardless of their standards. (ie we dont need chainsaw trousers cuz we're exempt!!!) i kid you not!!.
  20. the system is a bit of a choccy teapot arbocop!! im telling training providers that i want a full card, to be replied with "theres no point". ive just had sooo many different stories from different people that i dont kno if im coming or going anymore!! iv been registerd to be an nptc assessor for over two years now, and i still havent had my technical virefying yet!!!!! now when im paying my own cash to go on courses that i want to do to better myself, you'd have thort that training providers would make the effort to improve the qualitys and standards of this industry. unless they are only in it for something else?
  21. score it wiv a saw to provide drainage then cover wiv chicken wire. works fine on all my woodland bridges.
  22. hiya jonathan. il ask you any way, but il ring the head office next week. im interested in getting involved in the arb asso's activiteys such as helping to write the best practic guides. who would i need to pester? erm i mean enquire!! i am a technician member.

  23. ok hunney, im sorry, that was abit harsh. ive grown up in this industry, i genuinly care about this industry, and i try very hard to do things properly. i just get very pissed at clowns who think they can get away with half a job when they cant see the point that others are making. ive watched countless idiots cock up jobs whilst im still on the ground because im apparently a **** tree surgeon.according to managers who wouldnt know the sharp end of a saw if it came up and slapped em round the face wiv a wet lettuce!! im not perfect by a country mile, but im no lacky tree surgeon. im trying to be an arborist, there is a diference. sorry 4 the rant, i should have put this on the page! d'oh!

  24. u know im just havin a laff wit ya!!
  25. mr sbrash, i dont kno and im not realy bovverred!!!!! i can spell "bog off" tho!! hahaha!!!!!!!!!
