  5. Eddie impressive! spec build and ability! frustrating liebherr but it is worth your investment, time, patience and it will pay off and you can reap the just rewards for your vision of mechanised tree handling, I look forward to action pictures of the '' trick extension '' all the best j
  6. ? care dark hearted one may be hollow
  7. Saj hello can you supply more pictures, it looks as if the trunk may not be sound by the holes evident, also the bark seems more like horse chestnut, has the tree broken away from the roots, is so a picture of this area will help, also a picture of a cross section of the tree. thank you
  8. some great pictures on this thread of recent produce, here some of ours again taking the woodmizer to the max and Olive Ash appearing again! with a trailer load of more to mill in the future, any takers? all the best to you all for the festive season and milling new year
  9. does this count !
  10. some from site yesterday reminding me of this thread
  11. agree with above sharp blades, distance from anvil ( and sharp or square anvil will make a difference ) and infeed speed, there are addit features on some e.g. TP can have a slither breaker added to the blade set up to break or prevent this . if you are trying to produce fuel woodchip then a screened system seems to be the way to go . the usual cause of 'kindling wood size slithers is when the last part of the branch/log turns sideways in the infeed system and is chipped along the grain rather than across it, one easy way to prevent this is to chip longer lengths of wood!
  12. link here ( I hope ) huge saving on new, low hours, good spec crane and controls, http://www.agriaffaires.co.uk/used/used-forestry-tractors/19203556/valtra-t160.html

  16. Josh we have a 4x4 sprinter 413 2004 with the following comments made to another arbtalk member it has > 2151 cc engine, rust front wheel arch lower esp nearside ( more dirt ) > chassis where folded seams join and also body work pin holes expanding > into bigger rust patches, fuel pump leak, no cure or fix told have to > get new one. also injector seating causing huge mess under plastic > housing and dribbley injector burning hole in piston, I understand last 3 items > common with this engine, if going 4x4 anti roll bar and shock absorber mountings are > slung under the axel limiting clearance,! please note also the rear axel position when rear body is loaded carries all the weight even to the point reducing weight of the front wheels , it has got diff locks this helps traction, is not 4x4 as in Landover or similar but it helps a lot in slippy conditions, i.e wet grass verge towing chipper etc. tyres will make a difference, try for a demo or trial if possible, good luck
