1. there is a certain satisfaction in blade sharpening your own, I saw this 'sharp and set' in the United Kingdom 2016 | Wood-Mizer UK page 26/27 the other day and, although it has a manual element to it, thought it would be a useful investment for a mill owner
2. my apologies I could have been more informative I had a phone call from the person who owns the paddock where the trailer is usually kept saying that he had received a phone call earlier that morning saying the trailer had been returned! it looked from tracks in front of the trailer that it had been driven there by a cleated tyre machine, tractor? every thing else is guess work, I informed the police immediately after the call but they have not been in touch.
3. yes good to have it back and I also would be interested in 'the story' as above I strongly believe the presence of trailer on here and other forums together with its unique build helped, as an aside I did not think the whole scenario through with an add on a sale web site and someone bid 99 pence for it and asked where it was so they could collect it! worth a try though, hopefully there will not be a next time but need to manage that situation better. again I thank you if you had any part in its return and/or placed missing ads on my behalf, cheers arbtalkers
4. Trailer is now returned, no doubt immensely helped by social media, odd circumstances, I thank you if you had any part in its return and/or placed missing ads on my behalf:thumbup1:
5. Arbtalkers thanks for your comments and diligence, although we don't use the trailer as often as I would like, it has been very useful to us in the situations that we used to use it in, it is missed and will be until recovered or replaced, cheers for now
6. yes just to confirm still missing, not even a whisper.( not just mog trailer!)
7. Tractor Unimog 10 tonne Trailer Stolen | eBay still awol and missing it!
8. A while ago we invested in a sliver breaker screen for our Hiezohack, the quality of our fuel wood chip has been dramatically improved, I think better volume and almost no slivers. the produce in the pictures from a variety of species and small to large in size going into the chipper, impressive quality we are very pleased with the result
9. I guess my walnut is English, English Walnut, Circassian Walnut, European Walnut, French Walnut, Common Walnut Scientific Name: Juglans regia and not Black Walnut Juglans nigra. it has dark heart wood though!
10. although I have no experience of beech failing at a graft union and often wondered at the possibility, having seen a few, the most recent this week end, I thought I'd add to the above list, seen at The Arboretum at Batsford Arboretum
11. I have some good dark heart wood at that price can be milled to your spec, but possibly need to shift a bigger quantity, small amount would be at the higher price
12. your not forgotten hopefully next week will have job with suitable product!
13. access was better than pic, had good hitch lock on and is rockinger type hitch and therefor not tractor friendly, no idea how or when it went, hidden behind chip heap and gate/ padlock not broken through. possibly winched onto low loader??

19. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/10246-crane-fed-chipper.html 9 or 10 meter crane will be max I guess you can get, always like the mowi movement for chipper feeding look at 550 zx tp 400 [ame] [/ame] & tp 280 on video channels , I also understand there are systems that mimic parallel motion that can be used on normal crane set up, I think ACPrice Home fitted one for a customer, problem with long reach for feeding chipper is time spent in raising main boom, mowi max length 6.7 I think, good luck with the decisions, let us know what you end up with.
20. that vb 36 back again VB36 MASTER BOWLTURNER WOOD TURNING LATHE - WOOD LATHE | eBay
