  1. Front or back bottom?
  2. Is she? I must have missed it when they mentioned that.
  3. Sitting in the back garden with a mug of good strong tea watching 'my' common Pipistrelle doing his aerobatics in the dusk and listening in on the Magenta 4.
  4. My 400 has antivibe mounts so I get less tingly hand symptoms than I would with say an FS120. I find it much more pleasant to use than the smaller machines.
  5. I would have said big old Stihl 400 series. I've got one for clearance work that I got second hand a few years ago and it's not missed a beat or cost me anything other than normal service items.
  6. I wonder what the local papers would make of it? If a local council is trying to cover up a nice bit of incompetence on their part, I can imagine how keen they would be to keep it out of the news. This lot might be interested too. https://www.lgo.org.uk/
  7. Hope he didn't fell that too close to our car. We were parked in the first space while we had a walk before lunch.
  8. OP says that customer searched own property and surrounding roads for any TPOs some 3 to 4 months after the deeds were transferred to them. I would think that it wouldn't be too hard to argue that he had made all reasonable attempts to ensure that there were no applicable TPOs and also that it would be reasonable to expect the council to have updated the boundaries after that period of time, particularly as they were the vendor IIRC.
  9. Ditto. Accepting a caution is an admission of guilt. Customer was acting in good faith on the strength of information received from the relevant authority. Customer would still be well-advised to take qualified legal advice.
  10. Would what you want to move fit in the back of a long wheelbase 4x4 like a Trooper or a Discovery with the back seats removed? Apologies if I'm way out re dimensions.
  11. I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you.
  12. Are the anti-vibe mounts all sound/ tightly fastened?
  13. You dodged a bullet there. Sounds like a total cockwomble.
  14. I remember taking that Unimog picture. That was a while ago.
  15. I'd always had him down as just a one trick pony and then he pulls off a surprise like that.
  16. I use a Topsaw which I think is what the one in your picture is. Found it very handy, particularly for the Allen keys which fit a Husqvarna polesaw/long reach hedgetrimmer.
  17. However experienced either member of the team is, good communication is absolutely vital. The groundie should be acting as a part of the rigging equipment, just like the lowering bollard or the pulley in the crown, with information on wraps etc coming down from the climber who is the best placed to assess each piece to be lowered.
  18. Best to be on the safe side. Those ball gags can distort what you're saying, apparently.
  19. Don't mention Countdown. Stubby will get unnecessarily 'playful' which isn't good at his age.
  20. My nephew looked like I'd shown him the Rosetta stone.
  21. Found a load of my old vinyl.
