    When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it should be in the chainsaw carving forum . As I've got older I find I tend to shoot only for pest control reasons now, preferring to sit and watch the birds and animals more.

    Saw him on the first night of the Sonic Soul Surfer tour in Folkestone. Fantastic performer and a very humble guy. I get a real kick out of seeing the interplay between him and Dan the drummer. You can see just how much fun they are having and it's truely infectious.

    Went to see the first night of Seasick Steve's new UK tour last night at Cambridge Corn Exchange. He and Crazy Dan were on fantastic form as always and Luke the new guy was a great addition. Not only was I lucky enough to bump into him outside the venue, he played my favourite track too.

    Thanks Les. So in other words, the ones on offer on Ebay are going to be rather past their sell by date. I have Protector Pro boots for winter so I will just order some new Meindls for next summer.

    Any feedback on these at all? I've seen some of these in my size for a reasonable price on Fleabay and wondered what they were like. I'm due to replace a pair of Meindl Woodwalkers as a summer boot and wondered what peoples views on the Haix are.
