  1. Promise I won't damage your saddlebags. As for leads, that's a very disturbing image so I give my parole that I won't eat the dormice.
  2. That is an understatement. If you decline all attempts at arbitration/mediation, expect the court to look unfavourably on you.
  3. I've got a pair of old German Paraboots that the soles went like that on but the soles were very old. Looks like either UV degradation or something chemical.
  4. It wasn't his hedge, was it?
  5. Chin up, Graham. At least you have now got a wizard-free wood after your little pogrom. Have really enjoyed reading your posts this year and as per your invite a while ago I do intend to pop up for a visit sometime in 2015. You do the tea, I'll do the butties. Hope you and yours have a great Xmas and New Year.
  6. I got lucky when I had a problem with mine. I sent some pictures of the problem and gave them the serial number of the boots. I didn't have the receipt but I did know that I had bought them at the previous year's APF.
  7. Friday was my last day which I spent doing some work on the in-laws' apple trees. This week I have been doing Xmas admin.
  8. I'd just explain that we all have difficult decisions to make in life and you hoped that he/she would make the one they would be happiest with.
  9. I thought it was a sly dig that he needs to Roger Moore.
  10. Equally, it could be down to not everybody playing by the same rules eg no insurance, unqualified benefits claimers on the ground working for cash, etc etc.
  11. I wouldn't bother justifying yourself unless you need the work. Your price is your price.
  12. Dry, overcast, mild but quite gusty. Way too warm for December.
  13. I don't think Ebay will be too happy about him getting free listing on there either.
  14. Looks like somebody has some issues.
  15. Given that you have been maintaining the strip for many years, I would suggest that the onus is on him to prove his ownership.
  16. The way I look at it is if nobody is bitching about what you are doing then you aren't doing anything at all.
  17. If you are exposed to fine dust when milling, whatever the species, it's always worth wearing a mask.
  18. Well, at least you know you aren't a fake bell end, Paul. Nobody likes one of them.
  19. It is now in the ownership of Stow Maries RFC airfield where it will be fitted onto their Allen Scythe.
  20. Now you're talking!
  21. I don't think you would have a leg to stand on with regards to charging for maintaining the hedge as nobody asked you to do it so no contract has been created. However, depending on how long you maintained the hedge, and to what degree, you may have a claim to have adopted the land but you would really need to take legal advice on this. If money is short, try Citizens Advice or see if any local solicitors give a free first consultation. You could also see if your nearest university with a Law faculty does any pro bono work. Hope you get a result.
  22. I got pulled up for being anorexic.
  23. Don't forget announcing his plans to do what he did before the fact and so handing the premeditation element over on a plate.
  24. Don't know about the rest of you but all this chatting is making me peckish.
  25. Cracking measurements, that mermaid; 36,24, £2.99 a pound.
