  1. Now you're talking!
  2. I don't think you would have a leg to stand on with regards to charging for maintaining the hedge as nobody asked you to do it so no contract has been created. However, depending on how long you maintained the hedge, and to what degree, you may have a claim to have adopted the land but you would really need to take legal advice on this. If money is short, try Citizens Advice or see if any local solicitors give a free first consultation. You could also see if your nearest university with a Law faculty does any pro bono work. Hope you get a result.
  3. I got pulled up for being anorexic.
  4. Don't forget announcing his plans to do what he did before the fact and so handing the premeditation element over on a plate.
  5. Don't know about the rest of you but all this chatting is making me peckish.
  6. Cracking measurements, that mermaid; 36,24, £2.99 a pound.
  7. Sorry to hear this, Andy. I never knew the guy but he was obviously highly thought of by many.
  8. They all break if I try to climb them.
  9. Some poor sod paid £67 for it.
  10. Ah, I see you have been talking to your girlfriend again.
  11. Beat me to it, mate.
  12. It's pre-mixed 2 stroke alkylate fuel, mate. Plenty of threads on here on the pros and cons of it.
  13. Husqvarna 135 is a good little saw.
  14. Stihl chainsaw 22" bar Stihl chainsaw 22" bar | eBay
  15. Always a pleasure, never a chore.
  16. Fixed that for you, mate
  17. I would have thought that the engine would have been running hot with water pump problems or a sticking thermostat. Have you checked that the controls are all working properly as it's possible that it could be a sticking/disconnected cable or flap?
  18. Is the engine warming up to normal temperature or staying cold/overheating?
  19. Spot on.
  20. Ah, you are referring to hedgeporn, I believe.
  21. Do you know, I've noticed that too!
  22. Of course, if the line was broken by a limb failing before you had to attend to deal with such a dangerous tree then nobody would have to pay.
  23. Wouldn't it be a shame if the tree fell down and took the line with it but the debris was all cleared up and gone by the time the engineer turned up as the home owner uses a very efficient team of arborists?
  24. Quite the contrary. You kids have it too easy these days. You don't even have to raid behind your big brother's wardrobe.
  25. Well, the TV bit would be correct
