  1. Mine had began to form a brown gunk around the cap room, cleaned it out eight times, eventually got clear water through it. But still having a bit of over flow leakage. It's currently being acid dipped to rinse it off. Fingers crossed this will solve it. It's a 1995 25 hp entec, chippit
  2. Try qrms they do them, not genuine green teeth, after market, but they're very good, last well, and half price. Google it.
  3. That link hammdog put up are great teeth. Great service to. Mine seem to last as well as green teeth have done.
  4. Paul, great to see this course come to fruition. Unfortunately can't make that date. But if you're thinking about running another, in midlands I'd be very keen to go. Sounds like good course. And you didn't do it again, you put date in first sentence
  5. They say 48 hours is all it takes for the body to stop craving nicotine. After that it's the mind versus habitual thinking and traits. I'm same as Steve, on off smoker. If gf doesn't buy any I'm good, but if its in the house I'll indulge. Never buy any, just pinch gf's.
  6. Flying with the stars now lad. Business class please Richard
  7. Haha, clever clogs. Just had to google acerbic wit, love it. See, you're not a pretty face. I've just been watching from sidelines. Watching you and Joe entertain the masses. Good to see still got humour in here.
  8. I quite like it when you have had good slog of day and upon return to workshop think, I'm going to service top handle. You end up giving it a good strip out and get it in good clean condition and it fires up straight away first time around, post service checks. Then lock all away and crash open a beer. Ticks my box.
  9. Lol, you need to sell arbtalk and join Branson on necker island chap
  10. Tcd, do you do this for all machines?
  11. You'll always be ignorant mark 😉
  12. How to draw out swerve balls. See my previous post.
  13. I suggest a moderator delete the whole thread, then none of us can be seen to be informed through this site if google search was used in any court proceedings to gather evidence of out ignorance claim being false. It is to do with emergency route planning though, and managing other obstructions in pipeline
  14. Have a look at the register of tree work operatives website. Click through the different grades and see what pre requisites are assigned to each of the different roles /grades in there. May give some idea as to what to look at.
  15. Euro plants in surrey
  16. Civic trees are good for planting large trees, they may know of a supplier that could help. Few companies in Germany that have such stock to.
  17. The AWG are currently reviewing beneficial ideas that would help, I'll have this item addressed.
  18. I have seen examples of stub cut on large limbs, and there is certain cases where the branch collar begins to form around the decaying stub. What it APPEARS to do is that at the time of pruning the large wound, the exposed cambial area are offered an element of protection from atmospheric fungal spores. Consequently, at the point at which the decaying/dead stub falls off, (that's if it doesn't put on reactive shoot growth) the occluding wound wood has been afforded some protection from said spores. Admittedly a column of decay still can form into the main trunk, but sapwood exposed fungal spores do not have as larger window of opportunity to colonize the open cambium
  19. They're are varying levels of survey. Each addressing varying depths of assessments. Phase one phase two and phase three. They're is a phase which is a bit hybrid and is referred to as phase one and a half. There are one day courses that you do that teach principles of surveying at the first level and briefly level two. I went on one with company down in Bristol. Google phase one ecology survey course, may bring something up.
  20. We discussed this on my pd arb course few years back. The benefits are as described in report. It is highly likely to reduce the amount of decay into the main trunk. The stub will likely have some growth. This growth will sustain the sap flow of the branch and interlocking cells within that portion of the tree trunk. The ability for water to transport through the cells will reduce the propensity for the bark below the branch attachment to delaminate through drying. I think that there is discussion to be had for what constitutes best practice when we look to reduce decay in the main trunk through pruning large diameter branches close to the bark collar or leaving a stump at certain/ varying distances from branch collar. I'd do it and not worry about it.
  21. The arb association have also developed couple of courses. Tree life always good though in my opinion too.
  22. I've got the prabos boys, not the arborists ones, but the lesser priced boys, hammered then for eight months, climbing, grounding, dragging, still going strong. Tread depth on sole is still very healthy. Best value boots I've ever bought. Can't comment on arborists ones, but workmanship of others is great. Hope this helps. Oh, and their good in spikes to with added instep on sole
  23. As a quick boost try a tonic called metatone. Gulp two to three mouthfuls during day, will make reference within day out so. This is only a short term boost though. I take it when run down. Well worth a look. It's given to heroin addicts to keep up vitamin levels etc. Also paleo, been paleo three years, eat biscuits now though!!!!
  24. When on site roles and responsibilities are wise to identify prior to work commencement. These roles can vary significantly depending on the business model and staff experience and qualifications. How do you go about delegating the role of site safety coordinator/supervisor? If its your own firm or you're the lead climber, do you allow ground staff to take control of this issue? Admittedly the climber may see things from up above that the ground crew won't have noticed, but who signs off as the sss/ssc, and consequently takes the initiative when a job site safety requirements change? Often the climber is business owner, most qualified etc etc, but when up the tree and concentrating in their own job, can't see things developing outside of their control or line of sight. Do you spend time having little chat before job commencement to clarify these roles? Do you document it within written site assessments?
  25. What about gt85? Is that any good for lubricating the blades? And regards nozzles for grease guns do they make one that fits the stihl screw in type holes, similar to still own tine cap end thingy
