  1. Point your manager in the direction of arbtalk, the guys on here are wiser in the ways of chippers than a council mechanic. Of that i have no doubt! Show him your post and the replies to it. Be sure to ask the admin to remove any posts where you may have accused anyone or slated the boss though eh
  2. I've had hypnic jerk many times but also now and then i get sleep paralysis. Its a horrible scary feeling!
  3. One of the best threads i think ever started on here was a collection for an injured climber. It showed the real community spirit of this forum and how there are good people out there willing to help. I was thinking about a collection for maybe a trust fund for adam's 18 month old daughter. I am willing to start the ball rolling by putting £10 in if jonesie can collect like last time. Money is tight but i wont be missing that £10 in the next few years unlike the little girl. RIP
  4. Its his equipment thats the problem not yours! My wifes hairdryer used to f**k up our tv reception untill i paid someone to fit the ariel properly:lol:. Apparently me fitting in the loft wasn't the best way!
  5. First and foremost you are not allowed to take this thread seriously and berate me for wanting to kill of any species of tree! Secondly if hypotheticly you could, what would you abolish to having been ever created in the first place? For me......Apple! It hates dying, it wants to fight, it refuses to give in, it hates going in a chipper and wants a rumble! Gimme yours and your reasons!
  6. You get your own area at the bar because you look like a self harmer after a hard day hawthorn bashing!
  7. Number 2. Only however if you are working with a safe, competent and keen crew. I have worked with people with many years experience who are just plain dangerous. Not including mozza:lol:
  8. I had the info from the horses mouth about tesco's and the spec of their fuel and its the bare standard required honestly.
  9. On the subject of fuel, Tesco's diesel is bought "off spec" from other fuel producing bodies and then mixed with "on spec" diesel untill it passes the bare minimum standard to be sold on forecourts. Buy cheap, get cheap!

  11. Well im not going to post my "best way to nick a chipper" thread in light of these developments. It can only make things worse
  12. This is not just firewood, this is M&S firewood!
  13. 35 years younger? you can get into oz till 45!. If you are stil climbing trees and alsmost 80 then i am flabbergasted ha ha:lol:, Got family out there who love it and mates who have tried and hated it!. Horses for courses eh:thumbup1:
  14. Folks are entitled to their opinions eh ha ha. Dunno mate, its like telling a tree company doing a bit of fenceing is not on. Time of the month was my conclusion
  15. My god don't mention that you are a fireman and do tree work as well. I once made that mistake and witnessed a mass pre-menstrual rant from a few on here
  16. Mine has gone into limp before when revved real high to about 4500rpm. Now i know what caused it:thumbup1:. I dont really spend much time at those revs so its only been the once but its good to know what caused it. I had an impending sense of doom when the light came on but it reverted to ok after turning off and re-starting.
  17. Have a look on ebay at the "drakebox" tuning chip. £80 for more power and better consumtion. I did notice a decent return on a long motorway run on my 06 d40.
  18. You do need a sponsor, Ask them to go halves with you for the PTS in exchange for working for them. Worked for them myself a few years ago and they are a decent firm. Good rates too.
  19. For high speed reversing aerodynamics, 5 o'clock on a friday every second counts dunnit
  20. Hes back up and running at full speed now. I swear this lad is part squirell! Fingers all working as they should be and more importantley wages are back for the lad:thumbup1:
  21. How come no pay etc.. Phone acas if i were you if you have a fair ammount of time with the company.
  22. Has to be bought from a trader bear in mind. Private sales and they are goosed. Trade sale, you got them by the nuts.
  23. All parts of the car are covered by the 6 month right to reject. Even the clutch is covered as it is seen to be a major component fault. Like i said i was completely unaware of these rights. visit consumerrightsexpert.co.uk/buyingausedcaryourrights.html You can go as far as six years if you really want to try but the longer you have had the vehicle the less likely a judgement in your favour. It wasnt till i drove the car after 2 weeks of the wife driving it that was noticed the clutch was slipping. "do you know your clutch is slipping" i asked the wife. "whats the clutch was her reply" With regards to the engineer suing the garage on my behalf i dare say im nothing to do with it once the car is repaired but i bet his rates are a bit tasty to make it worth his while doing it. The guy has a great reputation round these parts and told me it was a shame the dealer wasn't more local to us as he could guarantee an instant repair with a simple phone call if they were, such is his rep.
