  1. yep your absolutly right ,you basically replace the bulhead with a tubular bar that runs up each side and along the floor alowing loads more space behind you ,costs around 250 quid i think
  2. theres so many out there its too easy to be drawn in on the first few you see ! weve all done it and then a week later for some stupid reason you still find the need to look on ebay and BAM you suddenly see a better one ! If you get a hard top defender you can always change the bulkhead behind the seats and put longer seat rails in so you not so cramped !
  3. my first 90 i bought was 2.5 n/a which a litle sluggish to say the least so i had it converted to a 200 tdi from a disc and that had a chain in it ,this is going back round ten years so to be honest i cant really remember to much about it as i was just getting in to them , but it definatly came from a disco , it was definatly a 200 and definatly was zuess ! imho if that 300 has a chain then ive been driving a toyota all my life !:confused1:lol this is where someone proves me wrong now ! ha
  4. as all have said no chains on a 300 , so my be worth checking its the origanal engine , some of the early 200 tdi had a zuess timing chain if im correct ? chances are the bloke hasnt gota clue !
  5. lovely day for it !!
  6. somtimes the cap will twist and go into the lock posistion without you noticing so your end up keep trying to put it in , .. if you take it out and hold the underside of the cap where the cord is and twist it it will undo allowing you to try again to put it on , .. that was probbaly the worst explanation ever but im sure someone will know what i mean !!!
  7. i remember james boyd doing my assesments at plumpton , really nice guy and good assessor ! sounds like the snatching claims a few victims ! one of the lads at plumpton college put the flip line and the saftey line on the side of his harness instead of one in the middle , he lost his footing while spiking up and dropped from around 25 ft like a sac of potatoes , luckly he was ok apart from very painfull arms where he tried to grab the tree when he slid down which removed a good preportion of skin !
  8. crackin! just about sums it up really ! ........although not to convinced on the look of your homemade soup
  9. yeh its been a bit of a slog but but the end result is well satisfying !:thumbup1:i try and drag a couple of mates out to give us a hand on the odd day and it always supprises me how much you can get done when you just crack on go at it! i usually get a little fire going and slap a steak on for lunch ! steak ..mustard ... bread .. jobs a gd un
  10. by hand ! although i am seriously considering spending a bit of money to make life a little easyer, but to be qiute honest ive got in to a system now and try not to let things mount up so much that looks like a right ball ache .ive only really started to get into properly over the last couple of years and after getting rid of everything this year ive started to think about upping the anti , :thumbup1:i dont really keep track of how many tons ,cubic meters etc but this year ive done 73 level loads of a landy hi cap at 90 quid a time ! so im definatly looking to next year !

  13. yeh this is what i was a little concerned about , the one one up side is that the wind is predominantly south westerlys wich is the way that entrance in the pic is facing i guess il just have to see what happens and keep an eye on it ,if it works il be chuffed and if it seasons a little quicker thats even better ! i spose the sun would have to come out first ay !lol
  14. jobs a good en then , i guess i was a little concerned about it getting to hot and getting to much condensation in it could do with a couple of little openings in the side etc i spose
  15. hey guys just wondering if any one has ever used one of these to store there logS ? ive mangaged to get a pretty nifty little yard and have the oppertunity to use an empty tunnel for storage it gets so hot with the slightest bit of sun and the two ends are wide open for air wat ya reckon :thumbup1:or:thumbdown:
