  1. I hear what you say and have no argument with you. I see your set up and see why you do what you do. If I still did logs I would look into the same arrangement. Very few people make a decent generator in the uk and those that do are 30% more expensive so I cant sell them. Just seems a shame we pay people to sit on their backsides and drag low cost heavy materials thousands of miles rather than invest produce and compete in our own work force.
  2. I am not really putting up a very good argument as I cant be bothered to debate with someone called forestry who does not actually excist. No company name, No email address, location or website address anywhere. For all I know a 14 year old kid.
  3. Yes I wear clothes from overseas. Do I have a choice we make very little clothing in the uk now. You can still make a good profit and run an ethical business. What is the minimum wage in Latvia do they even have one ? the cost of living is much lower in Latvia including the cost of housing so no way we can compete with that. Most large companies are looking to buy at a £1 and sell for £4 and leave the producer with 20p
  4. Good reply I should have responded like this my self but to be honest I was struggling to see anything positive coming from it. Often I find the attitude in the uk is as long as I fill my bank account up enough no matter how, I will be fine and stuff everyone else. If you can keep the money in your local economy your enviroment will be better for it.
  5. Hell of a quick way to make kindling do they do a bagging system as well
  6. We could all buy cheap products from abroad to sell to our fellow country men but where do our customers get their wages to buy our products if we put them all out of work. What happens to all the skills when we decide chinese tools are not worth getting out the packet. Not everyone can make formula one car parts and war heads.
  7. I had a really old series 3 which would not have passed an inspection I was the only one that used it around my own house and yard. In the end it creaked and moaned so much I sold it. Another one now would be really useful but how often and how much does it cost to get the crane tested.
  8. You can not do a non vat invoice if registered. You would be taking a big risk as what comes in needs to add up to what goes out.
  9. I would imagine a cash pest is someone who wants to pay with cash to avoid the 20% vat. Then sell the logs 5% cheaper than everyone playing by the book.
  10. We new the end was near for ebay when you could list using an iphone. At least before you had a fixed address. Its the auction where crooks look for gullible tight fisted bargain hunters.
  11. Your right sorry for the derail cant even blame it on the drink.
  12. I am 46 cant do it 3 times in one night even if she was 20 years younger.
  13. If I had a wife 30 years younger than me I would pay the first quote that hit the mat and get some viagra down my throat.
  14. I will look at the ranger
  15. NOOOOO I was going to buy a new dmax then drove the disco 4 and fell in love with it. But we are getting divorced this week so will be keeping and open mind.
  16. If I sell my disco 4 commercial in the next week or two I will give one a go on your personal recommendation but I did say to the dealer I would not buy another Ford while I had a hole in my bottom I noticed they have not sent me any leaflets in the last 15 years so probably glad to see the back of me as will the Landrover dealer soon.
  17. I can get top quality blades inc frame for 80p ea
  18. I think its a bit of a personal choice luckily not everyone wants the same thing. Personally I had such a rough ride with a new transit and after service I will never have another Ford so That would be on the bottom of the list. I am a big fan of Toyota because I have found them bomb proof But I am not blinkered into thinking they still are. The dmax ticks the big 3500kg tow box but I would want a cast iron assurance that they have cracked the fuel dillution problem before I spent 20k on a new vehicle.
  19. Seem to remember the best ones were made by Parasourse or similar name they make them for the services so good units but a small one will set you back £200 I think you need 3 rd generation Leds.
  20. I have a shelf full of all different brand new blades wipac, champion, bosch tried them all dont bother with any of them. Get a set of tp see if I am wrong I do 70,000 miles a year between 3 vehicles. The vito was fitted with new blades by the dealer before we bought it at £40 a set could not see out tonight will be in the bin and £8 set of tp on soon
  21. Its only the latest models that have dpf the older Rodeo never had them. My Toyota dealer was awful and the hilux Mk 5 was slower and 3k more than the navara. But the Navara was dead 10 years ago but I have a feeling I would still have the Toyota . I even had one on lease for 3 months with 100k on the clock and loved it while I waited for the disaster Nissan to be delivered. There must be a good Toyota dealer out there.
  22. Go on ebay and search for hilux there are several companies advertising them. Does the Toyota price incl vat ? £17500.00 + vat = £21500.00 you should be able to get at least 10% off that price at the dealers. Who is your local dealer
  23. I use tp or trust parts in the red packet. Complete assy about £2 a blade came top in auto mags for performance last forever dont judder blur or squeek job done. Best to change blades every 6 months otherwise they pick up grit and scratch the screen.
  24. The Hilux is no longer as indestructible but still probably the best by some margin. I have seen new hilux single for 14k and double for 16k You should be able to get a digi tacho supplied and fitted for £1200 the law has been around since 1997 The d max is a good vehicle but the latest ones have had lots of problems with dpf regeneration causing the engine oil level to rise and blow engine. As treefrog said if you need to tow 3500kg its got to be the dmax
