  1. I have been looking for a bright led 2ft mag mount low profile light bar for our discovery van. When it goes in multi stories I can put it on front part of roof. Any ideas Dean ?
  2. bulbs from maccess or Beal uk ltd . Towsure for other towing bits.
  3. Sounds to me like a wiring fault. We have a 16ft ifor trailer no probs on that. As some one said bulbs are cheap we buy 10 for a pound. A new light cluster £3 as opposed to £28. Less of a punch in the stomach when you reverse in to a kirb.
  4. If you can find the valve chest cover remove it and check the valves are both moving. Sometimes one gets stuck in the open position especially on engines used infrequently.
  5. It seems to have a dipstick. Which would indicate four stroke but you mention oil fuel mix. Do you put straight petrol in it.
  6. Its easy if you dont rely on the work. But its a brave man who bucks the trend if he needs the money to pay the bills and feed the kids. I was thinking next year in october placing an ad for a high price so the competition raise there prices. You can always have a sale in November:lol:
  7. Ok for deep snow all over in scotland but not for southern softies like me then:biggrin:
  8. Problem round here is thick snow for 1 mile then roads completely clear. Like that for ten days. Once out of snow need to do 50 mph to keep up with orders. What is the max speed on tarmac for snow chains.
  9. our sales went up by 4x when it snowed. No kero deliveries. Logs in short supply as cabstars and transits parked up.
  10. No idea but if you dont have a tractor I would investigate the honda or yanma diesel option. Problem with that is I move mine all the time to clear chips underneath and chase the wood about.
  11. If you mean pto only then most do. You could get one that runs on 13hp honda engine. Processors really dont need alot of power I would thinkeven the 15" machines should easily run off 40hp tractors. But I could stand corrected.
  12. Have you tried taking the pic into photoshop and lifting the back by 10" my guess is it would look very strange. Tippers get a very tough life in the depths of winter we load up to 8 times a day with a bobcat. rest of the year the processor is spitting big bits all over it.
  13. Now the recession is over:lol: the price of oil should be driven up. I imagined you being in the country side. With all these fire places being opened up I think we should be ok for a few more years.
  14. Most people who live in the country and burn logs dont have mains gas
  15. A work of art. i believe worth 65 million to the right person
  16. Facelift d2 disco 53 plate onwards sorted most of the td5 bugs by then can be had for a song and should do 31mpg on a run loaded driven hard. Landcruiser and d3 23 mpg
  17. Thanks Chris I have a 30cm machine at the moment. Its too small, thats reason for upgrade. Cordwood will only get bigger I think as it gets scarse.
  18. Chris I like the look of that. Never thought I would say this but have they improved the guard on the infeed . The new Hakki 1x37 is so guarded from what I can see it would be difficult to feed bent stuff. If the wood kicks whilst cutting you would have to shut down and lift guard. Not used one just from watching so someone correct me if I am wrong. What sort of price is the 36cm machine.
  19. Before I spend out serious money I check rear floor for rust and chassis. I just bought a 1992 trooper for £400 mot failure for yard work but its mint. I put a mat in it before I put my boots in then realised what I was doing.
  20. I can understand that, I have had a love hate relationship with ours for four years. But have come to appreciate its durability and you can repair with little more than hammer welder and grinder. I am sure there are better and much more expensive processors out there but do they come with the excellent back up I have had from Large tree services ?
  21. Give me a shout. Shiney new Kindlet machine, Not had tme to play with it properly yet been here 2 months ! . Running low on timber would like to buy in planed rejects if anyone knows of any large loads. Needs to be un preserved ie ( no tanalith )
  22. Looks like an 8 wheeler load. £600 delivered . But you need to transport so knock off £200. You need to cut it up and some of it is large Knock another £100. How about £300 or less if you can.
  23. Thanks for the help so far. i have a small three tonne trailer behind the jd 2140 without brakes and when it weighs 2 tonne all up its scary on the brakes. It takes a split second for the brakes to do anything I think they are immersed in oil. There must be a point when you need hyd brakes on the trailer. I only ask as getting 8 wheelers to deliver is becoming impossible and the timber is only 6 miles up the road. I cant get an artic in my entrance:blushing:if you see what I mean.
  24. Sorry if this sounds daft but does anyone know what you could legally or more to the point sensibly tow, weight wise behind a John deere 2140.
