  1. Its a really small truck the lumps are all under 12"
  2. Be careful of getting it through ebay direct from china has a habit of not turning up for weeks and then having import duty.
  3. I have a tiny log burner in the office that only takes that sort of stuff but chucks out huge heat. I must be a tight softy southerner
  4. I bought mine this week for £25 but I think I have seen them on ebay. For the money it seems very good and confirms what we already knew to a large extent.
  5. These were in billets and just cut the fresh face is 22% Busted, but lets face it a weeks time it will all be 20% . Are these bad logs or am I talking to log perfectionist if I am they are not from my part of the world after what I have seen this winter.
  6. No contest for me noise has to be down down down. But did measure the cut on my 325 chain tonight 8mm can someone measure the actual width of the cut of a circular would be interested as buying new kit soon.
  7. Its Beech. I think £80 is cheap for even remotely dry wood this time of the year considering the work and investment that goes into it. I have had a womble about the yard and have found 25 and 36 % surprising how dry it needs to be to get under 25% . Pushing the pins in does increase the reading but not by much. best not to beat that chinese meter about too much me thinks:lol:
  8. Some things you can skimp on coils you cant. Alot of chinese rubbish about. If you idle your saws down before switching of they last longer.
  9. Not bad for March about 10 tonnes left
  10. £80 a cu metre loose tipped. I buy it in and even if it came free it would be the same its hard graft why leave money on the table. I have been doing 2cu for £145 but thinking off stopping that as we have an economical hijet now for single loads.
  11. more saw dust with a chain. Easier to sharpen in house. quieter
  12. I have thought about doing something similar. But I have been keeping an eye out for one of those citroen relay recovery trucks they made around the late 90's . twin rear axles front wheel drive and rear body made from ally. Andover is a bit of a hot bed for this sort of thing as taskers and Locomotors used to be here. Andover trailers still make the best huge arctic trailers and JJ conversions make alot of gear for the AA. I came across two lads in a barn about two years ago with some prototype ally trailers on axle stands I can see if I can track them down if you want
  13. Being cheeky how much were the containers. I am looking at one tommorrow but really want some single trippers but funds i dont think will allow.
  14. Long shot and unlikely as it sounds like over fueling. But check the lift pump works well and if it has a filter screen remove and clean. Bleed injector pump incase you have pulled up some water.
  15. Dont know about your renault. But any van in the uk that is plated at 3.5 tonne ie needs no operators licence. Defo will not tow more than 2000 kg and some a bit less. Most double cabs only tow 2000kg as well. The navara in 2002 was 3t but they dropped it to 2.6 on the next model because they were falling to bits.
  16. The bgu wont take planed off cuts dont know about the posch.
  17. I find the only safe way to tell these days is to turn them upside down and have a look.
  18. You need to plug a volt meter in to a spare socket when you use the drill. Also try and find a meter with frequency on not a cheap one but say a fluke or similar costing at least a £100. Alternatively a panel mounted anologue frequency metre this will tell you if the engine is over revving.
  19. Dont take offence but there are three really bad euro engines. The lombo is one. At one stage they had a warranty failure rate of 60% before 400 hrs. If you need more power remove and sell on ebay there are many people desperate for working lombos. The problem you may have with a bigger engine is weight and size.
  20. Is the spark plug black. Could be running rich and flooding when hot.
