  1. Everything honda make is very good ( apart from formula one engines ) I did hear a few moans when honda moved the manufacture of small genies to China but I have no experience as I tend to work on the big diesels.
  2. I went to Hyundai in Pembroke for a look see. I thought there suitcase range looked good even has remote control. No idea how reliable or robust but they have put their name to it. No idea what kipor handbags are like but if they are like the diesels they will be complete crap.
  3. I never bothered getting bricks under warranty it's still going in the office I seem to remember it should have been £700 and the garden centre scanned it at £300 thinking it was on special offer
  4. We have a hunter now 13 years old original un cracked bricks. We have a small villager the bricks were cracked within weeks. Even so I think a better stove. More heat and more controllable and better made. Smaller and very efficient
  5. It's not worth it for pleasure either jon. You could buy a nice second hilux for the 12 k and keep the new one for pleasure. Sounds like the gearboxes are trouble so that ones out now. Back to the hilux.
  6. This only my opinion based on ownership. The hilux is head and shoulders above the rest and worth the money especially second hand. The mk 5 was twice the truck of anything else at the time. The new 2.5 has nearly the same feel power wise when driven and according to the test reports you don't need the 3 litre. But if you are towing especially if you are pushing the limits buy the 3 litre. The only thing that lets the hilux down is the official towing limits but it tows as well as any of the others. If you buy a hilux they had engine problems around 2008 make sure the injector seals were done and the engine was not oil starved I think there was a few injector problems and they are hundreds of pounds each. Other than that the d4d engines are bullet proof and economical. If I had six makes of double cab lined up from different makes the rest were £300 the hilux was £2000 I would buy the hilux. The Amarok is a better pick up but nobody knows how the 2 ltr engine will survive and a decent spec is pushing £35,000
  7. I was going to say where is peckerwoo but I don't need to now. If you mention his name he appears like a gennie
  8. I think we have the new version. Currys sell it still a great package improved without over complication and probably runs better on latter computers we upgraded fron quicken invoice we bought mid 90's
  9. I think we have a simple version of, quick books I hate integrated accounts software so never use it but their invoice will do everything you need and more without getting over complicated. Think I paid £30 for it and includes 3 months support but it's so easy we never used it. For accounts I use a street sheet I created 20 years ago.
  10. Appears so. I would be thinking about the long term damage. Diesel is not a good lubricant for your engine especially the valve train
  11. I spoke to the dealer about 3 months ago and he assured me that unless you leave it ticking over lots or plodding round feeding pheasants etc the problems are gone.A good run on a roads 20 minute per day will prevent the problem.
  12. I used to go to a plant auction in chobham I was told if you hit Ferrari ones right they land in the engine well behind.
  13. That does not look bad on there the balance looks right which is lucky, a long trailer gives you a bit more margin for error. Think I would keep it under 80 though
  14. Electrician that works for me sometimes turns the engine off and gets his newspaper out. Best car for mirror jousting landcrusier Amazon mirror weighs 4 kg and full of alloy got a spare never needed it in 10 years. Transits and sprinters are best as you get bits of indicator as well as blind spots and motors.
  15. Diy tie piece of string to tooth tie other end to door handle. Slam door shut job done 😚
  16. For the odd tree on site we take a saw and 10 tonne hydraulic splitter. Too far away but you should be able to find someone local. Processors are best on dead straight stuff 8-14 inches
  17. There is such a thing as overthinking a problem. Look for the good in people if you come across a hardened plonker ignor it or block it. Get out more. Life is good we are not here for long make the most of it.
  18. I think your all out on the volume. I think those two stems would yield 10 cubic metres of loose logs. I get enough timber on my trailer to get 5 cubic metres. I doubt I would get one of those sticks on. That looks like a 200 litre water but and the stick looks a good 3 ft across. Heavy work ringing and splitting compared to sticking cord wood through a processor.
  19. I am am impressed anyone who can afford the repairs on a Range Rover sport must be doing ok. Mind you I know a few people with struggling businesses driving round in 10 year old tatty old sports with private plate trying to keep up the image.
  20. £8 is a bargain I think the nhs pay £28 for them. Will save days of pain and may even save a life.
  21. The last wasp sting I had two years ago made my hand ballon right up and was agony for days. I never really reacted with stings but doc said the more you have the worse it will get. Not sure if I should carry a epi pen but I carry old style piriton which needs to be taken with in minutes of the sting.
  22. It may be worth doing a search for logs in hurstbourne tarrant. There is a gentleman there that uses a woodmizer to make his own 3 cu metre crates then has a rotator on a 3 tonne jcb telehandler. His tipper load is 3 cubic metres.
