  1. I was going to say where is peckerwoo but I don't need to now. If you mention his name he appears like a gennie
  2. I think we have the new version. Currys sell it still a great package improved without over complication and probably runs better on latter computers we upgraded fron quicken invoice we bought mid 90's
  3. I think we have a simple version of, quick books I hate integrated accounts software so never use it but their invoice will do everything you need and more without getting over complicated. Think I paid £30 for it and includes 3 months support but it's so easy we never used it. For accounts I use a street sheet I created 20 years ago.
  4. Appears so. I would be thinking about the long term damage. Diesel is not a good lubricant for your engine especially the valve train
  5. I spoke to the dealer about 3 months ago and he assured me that unless you leave it ticking over lots or plodding round feeding pheasants etc the problems are gone.A good run on a roads 20 minute per day will prevent the problem.
  6. I used to go to a plant auction in chobham I was told if you hit Ferrari ones right they land in the engine well behind.
  7. That does not look bad on there the balance looks right which is lucky, a long trailer gives you a bit more margin for error. Think I would keep it under 80 though
  8. Electrician that works for me sometimes turns the engine off and gets his newspaper out. Best car for mirror jousting landcrusier Amazon mirror weighs 4 kg and full of alloy got a spare never needed it in 10 years. Transits and sprinters are best as you get bits of indicator as well as blind spots and motors.
  9. But I thought it was for generator engineers.
  10. Diy tie piece of string to tooth tie other end to door handle. Slam door shut job done 😚
  11. For the odd tree on site we take a saw and 10 tonne hydraulic splitter. Too far away but you should be able to find someone local. Processors are best on dead straight stuff 8-14 inches
  12. A 200 litre compost bin ?
  13. There is such a thing as overthinking a problem. Look for the good in people if you come across a hardened plonker ignor it or block it. Get out more. Life is good we are not here for long make the most of it.
  14. I think your all out on the volume. I think those two stems would yield 10 cubic metres of loose logs. I get enough timber on my trailer to get 5 cubic metres. I doubt I would get one of those sticks on. That looks like a 200 litre water but and the stick looks a good 3 ft across. Heavy work ringing and splitting compared to sticking cord wood through a processor.
  15. I am am impressed anyone who can afford the repairs on a Range Rover sport must be doing ok. Mind you I know a few people with struggling businesses driving round in 10 year old tatty old sports with private plate trying to keep up the image.
  16. £8 is a bargain I think the nhs pay £28 for them. Will save days of pain and may even save a life.
  17. The last wasp sting I had two years ago made my hand ballon right up and was agony for days. I never really reacted with stings but doc said the more you have the worse it will get. Not sure if I should carry a epi pen but I carry old style piriton which needs to be taken with in minutes of the sting.
  18. It may be worth doing a search for logs in hurstbourne tarrant. There is a gentleman there that uses a woodmizer to make his own 3 cu metre crates then has a rotator on a 3 tonne jcb telehandler. His tipper load is 3 cubic metres.
  19. Do as r5log says and do it right from the start or do what I did. And pack up and do something else. Margins are too tight in logs to fanny about the profit is in the efficiency.
  20. There both cheap but the portek one costs 6 times more. I have had a lidls one for a couple of years. I bought 2 so I could chuck it when the disk wore out if could not find a replacement easily ( how lazy is that but time is money) you probably won't get through many disks unless you are wrecking 4 ft chains. I hand sharpen but use the grinder after about 6 tickles if my sharpening is un even one side or if I hit debis in the timber. Using it every sharpen I think you will half the life of your chains.
  21. I never noticed it but you have to take the slack out of the pawl without bending it.
  22. That's got to be a tree surgeon having a laugh. It could not get any worse could it. I bet she has one ash tree and wants the wood from that left in 6 in logs stacked round the front of the house.
  23. After I sharpened it. That's what surprised me as I am sure I have done all the sizes on it. He said it never cut at all and went out for a new chain not sure what size it was but was a who flung dung saw.
  24. I dress the wheel with the edge of an old diamond cutting disc now and again as it losses the square edge. If you dress it you get more Sparks and less heat when sharpening your chains. I can't remember if I have sharpened little 3/8 picco chains any one done these ? I sharpened next doors chain and it was so blunt it may as well have been on backwards.
