Hes from devon i bought a tractor mounted splitter off him mines been great but someone i know bought two and theyve been crapp,i went there in person and collected mine i dont recon he was making them himself i personaly think they were bought in ie europe painted put his own name on them and sold on as his own,i recon you were dead lucky to get your money back well most of it,theres plenty of guys on here who can recomend a good splitter,jonesie sells a Lawn flight 25 ton splitter for less money than you forked out,give him a bell cheers DB.
  2. Different Skid row Tom,ive just been on you tube and there werent anyone in skid row that looked like Gary moore,he was in a band called Skid row but that was in the late 60s,you had me going for a minute,sad loss though nice guy.

  10. I once fell off a ladder and ended up in the garden next door on top of my still running hedge trimmer,i got to my feet making sure that i still had all my digits,when i heard an angry voice say What the f..k you doin over there im paying you to do my garden not theirs,what a day.
  11. It dont get any better as they get older Lorry my youngest is 8 and she makes more mess with food than 10 normal kids put together wouldnt swap her though nice to hear that things are getting back to normal for you.

Most of the sucessful businesses down here start small ie Transit tipper and a Tw 150 and build up as and when,ask anyone on here and they will tell you if you got all the jobs people promise you youd be a rich man,its wise to start small and remember you can hire cherry pickers etc,plenty of free lance climbers out there to do the realy awkward stuff,but try not to think to far ahead deal with what you have first,good luck DB.

  16. As i spend 90 percent of my time on the ground i use the Stihl advance type a theyve done 18 months of every day wear so far cant rate them highly enough.
  17. I went through two pairs of oregon super comfort type c in less than 6 months,they just fell apart and werent very comfy.
  18. Dont bother biggest bag of sh.t on the market,but ive heard good things about Solos top handled saws,but give the Hitachi / tanaka a wide birth.
  19. Before xmas mabe but now i think your price is on the high side,just been quoted 24 cubic meters 900 pounds delivered and that was hardwood mainly ash.
