  1. Yea i agree and i have looked at specs with the term faulted limb and in certain trees there have been a number of canditates. More often than not however it has been obvious. I suppose it shoud be worded more specificly....ie.....Faulted limb to NW At approx 7mtrs. With approx limb diameter included.
  2. Quite a common term on work specs but as Tony says a bit ambiguous. It could mean a number of things but in my experience there is normally an obvious stand out candidate.

  8. Went to visit Ben Laws woodland a few weeks ago.....he's using the sthil Saws with solar batteries for his coppiceing....seems very happy with them
  9. I put the limb walkers document link up. I'm also interested in the possibility of making a film of sorts. This could be done by a film maker using existing footage we all may have and new footage including stills. I have a friend who makes short films and documentaries. May well speak with him.

  15. Hopefully some work at Leckhampton Court......did some work there last year........got some big old hedgerow Ash that need some endweight reductions.......and a few other bits and bobs......nice little site and woodland.

  23. Came across what i strongly suspect to be immature Daldinia on a Tree of Heaven last week. It was dark but am going back to the house where the tree was. They were starting to blacken and had the tell tale concentric rings. Will keep you posted.
