  1. im interested mate, will send u pm cheers
  2. haha, only buy cheap paper now,,, a scribble on each bit, then get get a new bit!!! love em thou, ive spent the evening re-building the railway set i built 2 days ago for my 4 year old!! im currently trying hard to work out the autistic spectrum... he apparantly falls somewhere in it, & im not allowed to treat him like a grumpy little 'sod' any more!!! soz for a derail, does anyone else have children with autism on here ?
  3. thats a beautiful picture mate, my little princess is almost 5, the only thing i dread is being introduced to her first boyfriend!!!!!!!!!!! spend as much time with her as you can, time flies by so very quick
  4. i used to like them... until i discovered my local butcher!! proper food, far nicer!!
  5. i wish anyone the best of luck going any distance with a train weight of around 2500 kg!!!!!!!!!!!! they dont tow weight very well at all!!
  6. dependant on your experience & respect of bigger saws i would suggest looking on the big auction site, a stihl 051, 076 would be perfect, then re-sell the saw once done....... these are powerful saws, as long as you remember that then it could save a lot of work for a minimal outlay,, good luck mate
  7. same as most of you i guess, the elderly, the frail etc, i will stack within reason, for a cuppa, an some banter, i only deliver evenings or w-ends, as for the lazy consumer that is capable of helping, £20 per delivery to stack, its not being unreasonable, i find the elderly folk appreciate your time & will talk about your good service, the lazy expect you everything for nothing!!!, apoligies if i sound like your grandparents!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. i think same as hgv crane, visual inspection by competant/qualified person, has to lift & hold it's maximum s.w.l. for a period of time aswell
  9. lol!! i drove it about most of the summer with no bulkhead or tailgate!! the spare fits behind the passenger seat, enough room for a toolbox & saw as well, kinda had to sacrifice some load space to fit spare in cab!! im pleased with the outcome, it was always going to be a compromise however i built it, it does draw good attention though, unfortunatly some of it,, unwanted enquires about the little crane!!! grrrr!!!!!
  10. last year we got caught out with the snow, the transit clearly wasnt much good!! decided a cheap 4x4 was needed, old hilux's seem to be making lots to go abroad, so, armed with some imagination, lots of evenings in the workshop we ended up with this!!! its biggest disadvantage is that i can only deliver 1 bag at a time, just hope it snows now!!
  11. i was called to a 7.5 tonne truck today, noise coming from back axle, maybe had the driver done his daily check he may of noticed loose wheel nuts???? threadlock is in no way a neccesary means of keeping wheels on a vehicle, if you think that threadlock is the forwards i would ask you to change an o/s wheel whilst on the hard shoulder of any motorway!! both hubcentric & lugcentric systems will work if maintained properly, dirt/rust is the biggest factor wheels falling off, mercedes trucks have used both systems together, but they still come loose if they not fitted correctly,, takes minutes to carry out a walk around check first thing in the morning, regardless of whether its series 3 landy or an 8 wheeler,, far easier than watching your own wheel causing a fatal accident?
  12. proper!!!!! i always thought the steering was a bit light on those, that should of cured it!!!!!!!
  13. i think thats ok, maybe tuck his shirt in, have a shave , & we shouldnt forget the hi-viz jacket
  14. cheers for that tommy, it sounds simple enough, im guessing that it's something to to do with the carbon in the metal, but that is a wild guess!!! would love to hear from anyone who knows more about this!! keep those pics of your work coming mr tree carver!!!!
  15. apoligies for a de-rail, followed home a 4x4 tonight, looked like a landie, but wasnt, can only presume it was the eastern built thing ive heard about, has anyone any experience of them yet?
  16. it normally starts fine, runs fine, a while back the saw stalled when a limb pinched the chain, it would not re-start whilst hot or cold after that, i eventually started it by spraying a small amount of carb-cleaner directly through the plug hole, when it first fired it was very 'choked up' but cleared after a few revs, the saw has run very well since that incident ,, probably worked it hard for 3-4 days of logging until... the saw was left overnight on its side, wouldnt fire & kept flooding, same as before, again after getting it going with carb cleaner it's been fine since??? i hope this makes sense magnus, the problem is very intermittant so finding it will not be easy!! with regards to buying a new saw, i will when this one is worn out, & parts are no longer available!!!!!!!!!
  17. cracking tommy, could you explain the vinegar dyeing for us all, is it as simple as it sounds??????? cheers
  18. cheers for your replys guys, defintly not flooding due to persistant turning over,, the ol girl fires up from cold within 3 pulls, 1st pull once been started!!!! definatly a carb problem, waiting for a rainy day to have a look, interesting comment about breather, it has once made a noise when ive opened the tank cap as if a vacumn had been made, not done it since, & was close to running dry, does anyone know if the breather is built in to the cap on these?? cheers
  19. i was replying to my post to translate for those who couldnt understand it, lorry, i wasnt having a dig at your accent, my first post on the thread was in reply to your first post, all meant in a jovial manner, nothing personal or vindictive. i apologise if i didnt come across in that way cheers:thumbup: :thumbup
  20. thanks magnus, ill strip carb again & have another look!!
  21. i agree, very annoying!! laugh my ar## off, dont go confusing things by chatting in north talk, aimed at lorry t !! i have to put up with notes like this all day northern accent i meant!!
  22. the world is your oyster sasha, im sure you will meet lots of people here who can give you a good insight into your next venture, good luck

  24. lmao, dant ga ca4sin fins by chtin in norf tork lry!!!!!!!!!
  25. we have an oldish, but very low hours husqy 61, only used for logging, a while back i stalled it when a trunk pinched earlier than i thought, would not re start, left it a day & eventually it fired up with a little carb cleaner, was very clogged up as if flooded when it first fired, the saw has run sweet as anything for the last few months until,, last week it somehow got put back in the store on it's side, same thing again, floods everytime you try to start it, have got it running now using a sniff of carb cleaner & again it's running faultlessly!! carb has had a full re-build, plug/plug lead is good, replaced first breakdown:confused1: compression is spot on, any ideas please??
