  1. definatly needs no permission as you rightly say mate, nor does a pole barn, until you clad the sides, if you use mesh i believe its ok still, unsure on slatted wood sides, has anyone else any experience of this?
  2. thankyou treequip!!
  3. i dont know how to provide a link!! have a look on the big auction site, search vintage danarm & you should find it, what a beast!! i want one!!!!!!!
  4. i feel helpless in only being able offer you my best wishes, i sincerely hope you have a speedy recovery mate, please keep us all posted
  5. i do it with; 4 heras security panels, 4 x 4x4 posts, some 4x2 for roof trusses, an some second hand roof sheets, dont stack on the floor, use pallets, ill try an get a pic tomorow, all depends on location thou, mine works well as 3 sides get good sunlight plus a good breeze from across the fields, im sure there will be some other members along soon who use polytunnels etc, good luck with it
  6. ooooh, stevie mac!!!!! a brave man to make that last sentence!!!!!!!!! good luck j with your new venture!!
  7. for your first carvings, some mushrooms & shells are ideal to find out if you have the patience etc, for these you dont need a carving bar, im hoping your an experianced saw user & understand the risks of kickback etc??
  8. i totally agree steve, the trouble is same as ever, some of our police officers will let the 10% go, some wont, the c.p.s. sticks to rules and doesnt bend them, perhaps im overwary of overloading having been fined for towing a trailer without a braking system that weighed 860 kg & a 3.5 t. transit at 3760 kg!! grrrr, maybe the police just dont like me!!!!!! the one that really peeeeves me is for towing a braked trailer with a safety chain not a short wire bond that should put the brakes on, but sure as hell wont steer it!!!!!!!!! the 'discussion' in the court room got so heated i was asked to leave!!!! i still use a safety chain regardless, if that coupling fails i know i can stop the trailer whilst attached to the vehicle!!! back to the red truck thou!!! it looks professional, & as you said doesnt look overweight!!!!!!
  9. i may be wrong but single rear wheel, doesnt look like the big wheel version, is the g.v.w. 3.5 tonnes?? truck looks great, definatly keep us posted on those barrow bags:thumbup:
  10. hahahhahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. lol!! id of kept him on the axe as punishment for dwelling an office!!!!!! have you any idea what these office people pay to go to the gym? pure madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. can you only put straight stuff through these or can you get away with slight curves??
  13. i really dont know mate as i never get on the axe for a full day, i would take a guess at using pre-ringed wood perhaps 7-8 cubic meters. that would be working quite busily thou!!
  14. im currently processing oak, all ringed up 12 months ago, i use a large stump with caged sides to split upon, also have a long bench next to stump to slide rings along to minimise lifting, its all differant sized stuff so realisticlly a two way splitter is the only option,,,, i think this would be slower than me with an axe, anyone got any thoughts????
  15. .... great result for first meeting, he needs to stop that inside rear wheel lifting as he turns in, thicker anti-roll bar first, then try stiffer shocks, (GAZ) are pretty good!! then if still lifting..... up the poundage rate on the springs slightly some great trees there aswell!!!!!
  16. :lol:As above!!!!!!!!!
  17. all reverts back to same problem unfortunatly....... there isnt enough people that actually understand what a cube is!!!!! apart from most members on here!!!!! search on the big auction website for 'logs' ...... you will begin to understand how the public have no idea what a cube is when the people selling a cube dont know what it is either!!!!!! either way,,,d be more than happy to deliver 3 cube on my hilux for £180, level load thou!!!!
  18. just take a big shadow to keep your beer out of the sun!!!!!! good luck dude
  19. im glad im not the only one who employs children!! although my eldest is getting a bit big for a chimney sweep, get her on the axe soon!!!!!!!!
  20. all gone very quiet!!! im sure all is well:001_huh: i hope!
  21. :thumbup1:good on you all for taking the time for this girl, the otherside of the coin is that she could be a victim here and her family is the problem??? just a thought..... have you a citizens advice near you at all?? or adult social services team?? glad to hear there is people like your family around, i really hope all ends well, keep us posted:001_smile:

  23. a good subject.... today i finally got the hump with a few people, & they will know it 1st thing in the morning!!! all my firewood customers pay on delivery.... no probs. we supply a large stable yard with hay... one girl has owed £60 for about 6 months, gets all shirty with me everytime i ask for the cash 'im waiting for an address to send a cheque' have supplied that several times, still not been paid!! she now has 3 stagnent rotten silage bales in front of her hay store!!!! then theres the people on the truck repairs, propshaft centre bearing i supplied an fitted in january...... in the snow!! still unpaid!! i dont mind as i now have his propshaft with my centre bearing in the back of my van!!!!!! i normally trust people, we all have the odd one or two non - payers, cant wait for the phone calls in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!
