  1. Very handy being able to fit two machines on!
  2. It's 20% of anything over £9450 (ish) as of this year - £10k next year! Woohoo! Even if you over save (ie 20% of everything you invoice), it's not a bad thing! You'll just have a nice bonus each year.
  3. Sweet! Steve is a great guy. all the best Alex.
  4. Will also sub out for free, maximising your profit! My ebay advert for more details... tree surgery | eBay
  5. I'd say the 372xp would suit best. I've used them on an 18" bar and they fly!
  6. Nice one 'other Alex' If you are looking for work it might be worth trying Steve over at Hawkes Tree Services. He's near Sudbury/North Essex. Hawkes Tree Surgery Services, Tree Surgeon, Braintree, Essex, Suffolk
  7. Yeh, gotta love that tingley feeling
  8. Early morning bump for you andy, just in case... I thought there were quite a few suffolk lads on here. Oh and Slater (see what i did there? ) , from the things you have said on here, this would of been a perfect opportunity for you, being a rookie in the area advertised, but no, you just go ahead and spout nonsensical bull---- instead
  9. Really? Oh and this thread is old by the way
  10. Good to hear, i'm only 10 miles away so i'll pop in at some point
  11. Well apparently £75m was raised yesterday which is good....if alot of it isn't lost through pr, admin etc etc. Unfortunately that amount is like sticking a plaster on Dave D's stumpgrinder wound.
  12. I'd be happy to support 'Le Sanglier Relief' Donations to the childrens trust, once it reaches £100 Le Sanglier gets a perma ban!
  13. I appreciate the fact that they are doing something to help these charities, but the actual programme is dire. Even if i had a tv i couldn't sit through it. The thing I can't get my head around is that global military spending in 2012 was £1.7 trillion dollars, yet poverty is just as bad as it has always been. Fixing poverty isn't profitable, so it will never be done. Same as curing various illnesses, much less profitable than treating them over and over....
  14. You serious? Mine was about £350 including a days (5/6hr) training, hire of the box trailer and test.
  15. I can see myself buying the top handle for reductions and the back handle for hedgelaying, the small nose on the bar is ideal for both applications.
  16. Yeh i agree jon, anything stihl made in the 90's was great.
  17. Yeh probably would only of got £300 without it
  18. certainly is Jon 121.6 cc Stihl 084 chainsaw chain saw tree surgeon sthil ms880 ms 880 ms840 840 | eBay
  19. Thanks and yes i might of, but not hedging, met another tree surgeon there so here's hoping...
  20. Suprisingly I came 2nd today in the competition, I really didn't think i would place as my section was a bitch! Very pleased anyway, £40 richer and my pride intact
  21. Ebay is definitely a sellers market for saws! You can easily get new price for a year old saw on there.
  22. Is that the arb equivalent of skateboarding's 'Tony hawk pro skater' effect on the number of people attracted to the activity?
  23. good point hedgesparrow. the bloke who taught him was speaking to my landlord and said he had layed around 6 or 700 metres so far and he is very competent! i also heard about his nice coat silky
  24. Not watched it yet but my landlord was invited along with his dad and a few others. His dad stuart ford and another old boy frank were given an award by charles for long services to hedgelaying (or a similarly named award..) . We were hoping it would be included on the show ( i guess not!)
  25. You can be a massive bellend sometimes...
