  1. A customer wants a couple of stumps removing but isn't too keen on hiring out a stump grinder due to the costs. Are there any cheaper alternatives to get rid of them (chemicals etc)? thanks
  2. it depends on volume of wood cut. and the price per tonne depends on who you are working for. its hard to judge. a quick answer is not alot unfortunately (in my experience) its nice being in the woods rather than the side of a road or some estate, so that kind of makes up for the lesser pay.

  7. hi, just checked and i only have b / b1. i have looked into it and it's around £115 for a trailer test so i will probably book one for the next month... ....but i can still drive vehicles upto 3.5 ton with 750kg trailer, or a combo of vehicle/trailer that adds upto 3.5 ton. if i can still help based on that info, let me know. otherwise i will try contacting you if i need work and have my b+e. cheers

  17. At the moment i am climbing just at weekends as i'm doing forestry in the week. I have priced all my outgoings (fuel, servicing/replacing equipment, public liability, tools insurance) at £25 a week based on just Saturdays. I would like £100 for myself so £125 a day. Simple (at the moment ) (I would bump that up to £300 for a groundy/tipper/chipper)
  18. My girlfriend's old man has a single cab S Reg Hi-Lux with BF Goodrich off road tyres on. He says its the best thing he's ever bought! Really good truck imo.

  22. i used to have the same - and it was blue! (i take it thats the one in your picture?) and ben - my astra's head gasket blew on the way back from cornwall
