  1. This is mine. Snap hook on one end, stopper knot, micro pulley and distel (or some kind of similar friction knot...). much cheaper than the art positioner! about 35 quid all together
  2. i use the distel and micro pulley, works a treat (much better than the crap rope grabs at college). you can use it one handed and release under load.
  3. loving my new petzl - the big air vents make all the difference on days like this. really comfortable aswell
  4. I don't see the point of people wearing braces and a belt at the same time....

  9. i have a tree motion and as with any harness you get a bit of sag but just tighten up the waist a bit more, maybe wear the harness a little higher (increase the leg loop elastic). i don't seem to have a problem with it and i seem to forget its there until it knocks into a branch...
  10. you could do as i have just done. 10 week full time course, £1,800 - you get 30,31,38,39, basic first aid certificate and level 2 craftsmans award for theory etc. i would highly recommend it.

  17. harlyn bay is great! not too touristy, massive sandy beach and its a mile from our campsite (trevone cricket pitch).
  18. i'm going to cornwall in august for our usual camping trip. can't bloody wait! harlyn bay here i come!
  19. maybe not the nicest, but best for your insides and body as a whole
  20. you could send these messages via pm you know....
  21. Its best to drink room temperature water. Even though the initial hit of having a nice cold drink is great, the body needs to heat the water up to body temperature for it to be digested - the colder it is, the more energy the body uses to get it to a functioning temperature.
  22. either way, i bet the council haven't heard of him, let alone approved him
  23. the best drink for working in heat is fruit squash (whatever flavour you like!) and a teaspoon or two of salt mixed with it. (for a 2 litre bottle) this does a similar job as lucozade sport and the like, for a fraction of the price.

    Boots

can you not import any from the uk or other countries?
  25. It would be great to have live bands in the evening and camping, with lots of workshops for the kids, lots of demonstrations, lots of local ales and cider etc etc. Make it into a family thing that you can spend a relaxed weekend at without rushing around trying to look at everything and try/buy stuff all in a few hours. Alot more folk would turn up from further away i should imagine. It would be like an arb festival... Anyone with me on this?
