    Husky 372

i use a 372 at one of the firms i sub for. can't fault it really. plenty of power and not too heavy. not much else to say. frjones are usually one of the cheapest and they are selling it for £600 inc vat.
  4. Three words; Art Rope Guide well done on the laptop! you must be chuffed!
  5. thanks mate. i can get rid of my ms181 now (i had to buy it as i couldn't afford anything bigger). i messaged steve about it but would you like me to put some money in to cover delivery? i would be more than happy to. i'll buy you several pints if we meet at one of the trade shows next year and you'll be pleased to know that it's going to a fellow scot (well, i'm half scottish anyway ) and andy - yes, quite a bit of luck i was going to try saving for a bigger saw over the next month or two. so happy.
  6. It seems they have seen various homemade versions and come up with this.... It's more expensive for some reason. I would have thought it would be cheaper.
  7. cool. i was just thinking i should take some spring/summer/autumn/winter pictures of the same tree or landscape. i'll start tomorrow - check back with me next autumn
  8. I'm so happy, it still hasn't sunk in. I've never won anything before I was happy just to give some help to a good cause. Nice one to everyone else who made donations, no matter how small. I'm glad to be a part of a site with such generous folk.

    Which Boots

cool , i'll get some from Baselayer are performance clothing specialists. Stockists of Under Armour, Odlo, Vibram, Force XV, 2XU and Woolpower Merino Wool for performance base layers
  10. the chipper i was using today was rubbish on anything less than 3-4cm diameter. would a 2003 timberwolf 150 have an adjustable gap?
  11. wow! nice one pete. the big tyres look quite handy on days like this.
  12. it was quite a sight but i'm a bit miffed at the focusing on that pic and the uprooted one. i think the lens didn't like the cold. or im just rubbish

dito again on the protector pros - my feet were almost sweaty today
  14. thanks but i'm really looking for an objective view from someone who has used both bars in the industry.
  15. Are these better than the standard rollomatic you get with a stihl? (i think i read it somewhere - not the best reference i know ) Thinking of getting a 20" for a ms441 if they are. cheers
  16. Went for a walk on sunday..... Mist Holding On For Dear Life Vapour Trail Uprooted Infinite Space
  17. when i just came out of college, i was on £50 a day for forestry work, using the companies equipment (my own ppe) the company i worked for pays £10 per tonne to workers i think. (and we were averaging about 7 tonnes a day each)
  18. as swb says, get some training and chainsaw protective helmet, boots, trousers and gloves. your local stihl dealer will advise you on what to get (you shouldn't need anything bigger than a stihl ms181) go to > STIHL & VIKING: Outdoor garden power tools then on the left click 'where to buy' to find your nearest
  19. you are doing well at £80 a day already you have to work out how much the extra equipment will cost you to maintain over the year and then divide by number of work days. then add that to the £80.

  21. Got to work this morning and the van wouldn't start so work was cancelled. Got back to find out my girlfriend's mum had her horse box stolen by pikies. Just got back from taking pictures of the size 7 reebok classic footprints in the snow along with perfectly preserved tyre tracks (not holding out much hope but its worth a try)
  22. a firm i work for has a transit with a box like that. its really bloody heavy and can only take a small amount of chip before it gives up.
  23. 5-HTP + vitamin supplements would help.
