  1. the rules do not include replacing rude words entirely with asterisks - yet i have noticed my posts being edited for including such profanities as 'asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk' surely four asterisks in a line does not count as a profanity??!
  2. oh crap! hope you get better mate. i'll think a bit more about choosing a high anchor point after reading that. glad it wasn't any worse
  3. sorry to be slightly off topic, but is it possible to get temporary public cover? (ie for a certain number of days, over a weekend etc)
  4. if it helps i am on £90 a day for subby climbing with 8 months climbing experience. i know people who charge around £180 a day (i guess you have to be at the top of your game to get that).
  5. i just bought a new strop set up -4m yale xtc/isc snap hook/vt/pulley any bigger and it would get in the way, any shorter and it would reach the stopper knot before i get to where i want to go... and if there is such a book with pruning times etc i would definitely buy it.
  6. awesome mate, congratulations!
  7. After the slating hamadryad got on his reductions thread I thought twice about posting it, . 30% reduction on a tree of heaven (or 'hell' in this case - all three neighbours wanted the final outcome to be different, hence the left crown being raised higher than the right)
  8. good stuff - especially the blower/fire
  9. Tim craig - yes i've got all the plan b's from the early 90's. they're bringing out a new one at the end of this year. and rich - i've got almost all the h street's inc the ones you mentioned but i still don't have 'video days' (the blind vid), although i think i know someone who will sell it to me.
  10. I would much rather walk casually up a ladder than footlock for 20ft. I can't see the problem with them for access. Plus on lots of occasions we have needed them to access neighbouring gardens over the fences.
  11. like this? i'd love one.
  12. just stick them in, 40'c normal wash. i've done it quite a few times after the ropes have been caked in mud, moss, sap and genreal tree gunk. it comes out like new and fairly dry after the spin cycle.
  13. if there is actually something wrong with it, surely it will be covered by a warranty...? tell him to go through that route. if its him not really liking it after a weeks use, tell him to shove it.
  14. i asked him about the fact that the address comes up as a roofing company. his reply.... yes i own abbey roffing i can meet u if u like. lol
  15. that's what you get for being a fruit booter!
  16. i asked for a his company details (name, address, website etc) his reply was a landline that didn't come up on google at all and an address that is registered to a roofing firm in colchester. hmmm....
  17. i asked a similar question..... hi we order in as we sell but thay a new and if u not happy we do money back happy ebaying
  18. if this were to turn out to be real, i'm sure we could get together enough of us to buy the 100 saws - especially if they are 100-130 quid each. too good to be true however
  19. think i have figured it out...but just to make sure... you hold onto the bight at the working end, next to the splice then pull on the standing end?
  20. I have got it, but it's not in original case. Also got these from the same people who made that(bones brigade)... The Bones Brigade Video Show (1984) Future Primitive (1985) Public Domain (1988) Ban This (1989) Propaganda (1990)
  21. I fear that my collection will succumb to the evil that is the storage box....so.. I thought I would take a picture of it, because what is a collection if you cannot show others? Here is 'Mount Video' 34,000ft above sea level. It's made up of skateboard video's from the early 80's through to today. It's sat upon my collection of Sidewalk skateboard magazine's (issue's 1-100 complete from 1996-2003). Am I sad or are there any worse hoarders out there? My mum despairs as she not only has to deal with me, my step dad has his record collection....
  22. it put a smile on my face. great machine!
  23. oh does he now?? arf! edit: old snake beat me to it!
