To get to my house from the neighbour means a walk of 6-800 metres they assumed ok to put ladder over wall ,there was a misunderstanding between departments as to who was contacting me, the attitude of the arborist just finished me off they intended to cut and leave the branches in my garden, the t/o got the short straw to apologise and collect rest of the tools

Interesting, when I caught them in the garden the toys came out of the pram and it wasn’t pleasant I refused them permission to collect their ropes and the chainsaw went over the wall at speed the arb officer came around next day , I don’t know where he got it from but the conservation area he explained was a box inside the lines drawn, outside of the lines no conservation area

A CA is a conservation area not a tpo area my local council placed my house at the boundary of a conservation area I’m inside, they then decided to prune my ash tree which overhangs the next door sheltered housing, not inside the conservation area, I brought up the fact they had not asked for permission to carry out the works, came home to find two men inside my garden with a ladder up the tree the tree officer said the conservation area finished at my boundary as no tpo therefore they could cut to the boundary

I need to make two doors for my workshop 2.75m tall x 2.5m wide and thick enough to be insulated for sound and heat so about 125 MM thick also want to automate them so will need mag locks and motors Current design is to use two sheets of ply so to make them square frame the ply with box section steel then make a timber frame around the outside they need to be faced in tongue and groove or ship lap vertically on the face then filled with insulation and the rear faced in ply anyone see problems or got better ideas workshop is in conservation area so doors need timber face and council have refused roller shutter

You need to get the samples tested by liquid chromatograpy in a accredited lab this will show exactly the chemicals used

You are going to have to sit down with someone who knows about business and make a plan both loler and puwer are essential for running any business

It wouldn’t do you any harm to have a health and safety policy also documentation for loler,puwer and a training matrix, bigger companies will ask for these,might also be idea to have risk and method statements made out for common jobs and a form to make them site specific you will also be asked for these at tender stage maybe a business bank account

I’ve found an 11kva going to wire it as auto start with auto change over.mum is on EOL care so don’t want to take a chance this winter can’t tell if doom mongers are over hyping the power problem
