Reg its this few paragraphs that sums up longevity in treework! I have only been at it about 11 years, but I do feel the same way. Every job and situation is different, and drawing on knowledge to get it done the fastest, efficient and best way is invaluable. And in addition the ability to always be learning. That's why I come to the forums... Some pearls of wisdom occasionally appear I dont get to work with other climbers here, its pretty much just me. Thanks for the vids, keep it coming. If I do anything interesting Ill make sure to make an effort. Cheers from HOT Florida
  19. I was thinking about certified arborist...... so the term arborist and tree surgeon are the same I guess...
  20. I think an arborist must hold an ND or HND qualification to become a proper arborist. Tree surgeon Is more suitable.
  21. Wow Bolam they're the first real work pics ive seen of you! Were you wearing the Cardy I got you? So you are actually a tree man, not just a hero comedian! I am going to have to start taking more pics and videos.... lost my interest in it really, but will make the effort. Bravo
  22. Im gonna use that one!
  23. Good film! Ive never used a splice.... never thought it was worth the extra money... if I could do it myself i probably would give it a go
