1. There's a hole either side in the top on the back of it. There is water coming in through one of the back doors (of the truck) and it has failed to start twice (Electrical or computer). Even the AA, when called out by Ford couldn't sort it and abandoned it in a farmyard and took him home at about 10pm after giving up on it. He is rightly not a happy bunny. He will probably give it one more chance but if it fails again it will be going back and rejected as 'not fit for purpose'
2. If you buy a ranger and are a member of one of the shooting or countryside organisations (BGO or something like that? ) you can get a £5k discount. Thats what my mate got off his. The membership was only £30
3. Friend of mine had his brand new 66 plate ranger delivered last friday. Its already let him down twice and this morning the dealer offered to "hire" him a transit connect. You can imagine how that went down. The top on the back leaks like a sieve and the back door also has a leak when it drizzled with rain on Saturday. My advice - DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING A NEW FORD RANGER!!
4. I used to have an 8x4 blueline plant trailer, best towing trailer I have ever owned including about 3 Ifor's. As long as you keep to their payload limits they are brilliant.

Can you tell me whether someone else is logged on to my Arbtalk account?

Every time I log on it says I last visited about 1-3 hours ago and there are about 40 ish unread posts since my last visit. It happens even when i haven't logged in for a number of days. Any ideas?

6. 3mm is more like sawdust. Pellets will be 6mm or 8mm
7. Is that what they've put beside the A14 at Elmswell? I wondered what it was. Ridiculous place, there will be a load of accidents with vehicles going in and out within 40m of the roundabout and on a bend. Any other applicant would have had it refused for planning.👎
8. Peter Lord Forestry 07836 314036
9. Sounds like they are on about recycled woodchip and haven't a bl@@dy clue what they are on about. Tell them it's virgin chip made from actual trees, yes real ones like the ones in their gardens.
10. Take a look at the link below. As promised the tech is almost here, not long to wait now. We almost made it within the 12 months Skyhuck! The future of energy has almost arrived. https://folkentingenergy.wordpress.com/2016/02/18/energy-by-common-sense/
11. Norfolk is quite a large area, where abouts in Norfolk?
12. An experienced hand cutter required in Norfolk with the possibility of further work in the future. If anyone is interested please contact Martyn Neve 07860 859633 Mods: if this ad is wrong in any way, please feel free to move it, never tried to post from my phone before so not sure if it's right
13. Now THAT....... is a chipper!!
14. Noooooooooo !! Must always be dried to max moisture of 30%, preferably down to 20% mc
15. This guy is smart, take it from me. Anyone who is interested in biomass renewable energy should keep an eye on what he is doing. Just sayin!
16. Hi Plogs I would say its a very good price. Its certainly cheaper than I can get them for in my area. Woodworm
17. Martyn Neve 07860 859633. Don't bother calling until the 4th, it'll take until then to recover after tonight 😂
18. It became a bit of a hot topic when I posted your original post on there but it just seems that that's the way and we will struggle to change it. Good luck in your challenge and I really hope you manage to get him on site fairly soon.
19. The argument is that if he is working with a trained operator who then has an accident, they have no way of getting that trained operator to a hospital. Also most forestry roads are now classed as public roads so he would need a full license to drive on them. Don't get me wrong, along with most of them think it's a bit mad and that common sense has gone out the window but that's the way it is. Have had comments on there from Jim Walmer who has as many machines as anyone in Scotland but he says that's the way it is and they won't budget on it. The only way round it is to see if you can get him work on private estates but also to make sure your insurance would cover you for a 16 year old to work on site.
20. I have just put this query to a forestry group combining some of the UK's largest forestry contractors and the following was the response from one of them and backed up by others.... Fc won't let them work on there land till there 17 and have a driving licence!. Sorry to disappoint but it was the general consensus.
21. You must have been on the same course as Angus Stamper fella? I was there doing the Farming Course in 86/7 and it was the best year of my life. Fabulous setting, Hare and Hounds Pub and the wall of death in front of the Hall!
22. Got my first 2 tickets. Great work once again Steve and once again for such a great cause.
23. During the torrefaction process you lose 30% of the mass but only 10% of the energy. You are removing almost all of the moisture (<2%mc)
