  1. not today but since the end of October, 2545km https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ride-to-the-Ballabu/324346237662848?ref=hl
  2. Not wanting to step on anyone's toes or give myself a "big hed", these are just photos. Although we have the knowledge in relation to a symptom, the OP asked about this tree in particular. I think its best (IMO) if he were to get someone close to him to look at it "in the flesh", if someone could do it for a favour, then all the better. If not, then i'm sure it wouldn't be the biggest fee at all.... Till then as i said, take my opinion with a pinch of salt but the tree is fine for the short term:biggrin:
  3. Bark looks like a Fraxinus, form looks like a Salix
  4. Thanks, I'll have a look:biggrin: And bondage..... Sent from my Galaxy S2
  5. Suppose if it was something like a Travelodge we could spend more whilst there Sent from my Galaxy S2

  7. Nice one josh, you can see the stem off the tree gradually ease back up to vertical as the snow and weight is released:thumbup:
  8. Me and me good lady wife will be celebrating our 10year wedding anniversary this october and as i've never "officially" been to london (i've been to Kew and surrounding areas passing through), she said she would take me. Does anyone know of any decent hotels that aren't overly expensive but aren't cheap and nasty either that they would recommend to stay in for 3 nights early october in the Covent Garden, Victoria, Westminster area? Cheers:biggrin:
  9. Search - Explore: the ancient trees of Africa on Facebook, that's the page, some awesome pics on there especially of the baobab Sent from my Galaxy S2

  13. I read that three times before it sounded correct in my head:lol: I'd agree with Steve, no need to rig that
  14. Idesia polycarpa? Or Acer distylum? I'll go with the second one!
  15. Just asked the father in law for the guys details (about the chalet), will pm you when I get them Sent from my Galaxy S2
  16. Couple of years ago we stayed in a private (friend of a friends) chalet, think it slept 14ish. Was in the Chatel area about 1hr from geneva airport next to the resort Abondance and Chatel. Kids had a great time, we had a great time and the resort was good too. We flew to geneva and rented cars so drove round a few resorts in the area Want me to see if i can dig details out?
  17. Certainly does look like a Turkey oak (young/epicormic leaf) not 100% convinced though
  18. Awesome vid, thanks for posting:thumbup: David, think you should start blowing up trees in the city of London to create some good habitat niches?! Sent from my Galaxy S2

  23. No problem, you have a brill weekend too:thumbup:
  24. Its very hard to give a 100% diagnosis and prognosis from a few blurry photographs, we can only offer advice on past instances and what books may say. If your really concerned, maybe ask someone on here local to you, to come and have a look first hand:biggrin:
  25. Haha, Acer griseum then, other than that i'd have to consult the books:biggrin:
