  2. I try to wear plastic safety glasses, you soon get used to them, and they all but eradicate that poke in the eye, stops a lot of dust too, mine dont seem to steam up,but if they do, use 'bob heath' visor treatment or similar(motorcycle shops).
  3. Surely chip & rounds of timber are as bricks to a bricky, you are going to use the wood to produce firewood, and process {let it rot} the chip for mulch.
  4. Thanks for that, but i've got sorted . thanks again.

  14. That just has to be a bit 'over engined' for a log splitter.
  15. They may introduce 'conrnet cuts', something similar happening in british arb in recent times! Loler..lots of lolly eating regulations!
  16. I recon prices will go up this winter, mine are! demand, delivery costs etc. But monaco...I just can't forsee an influx of ex pat log barrons!
  17. Looks like there were concerns regard hazard to the road junction, the pics dont do justice to the hollowing under the tree, but that will be my bad camera angles, traffic has been cutting the road corner whilst pulling uphill, which in turn has exposed a fair bit of the root, this I regret may have detrimental repurcussions for the tree.
  18. Well its quick as the saw is manhandled less, probably needs 2 hands to hold that saw, and that method leaves 2 hands to chuck the timber.
  19. oak tree on a road junction, soil has been washed away over time, I think! I may have to post pics in 2 batches so please persevere!
  20. Thanks, thats v helpfull, I.ll give them a call.
  21. TWO things; Clacton area, Anyone got a tractor with flail, I need to clear an area of approx 2/3 of an acre which is covered in bramble and nettle, I am thinking of a flail on an arm, (hedge cutting type), with operator prefered. Same location, a mog with big chipper, with operator only, to chip and tip on greenfield site,my landy/chipper setup is too small for viability on this job. Any of you good people interested in contacting me regards these requests please pm me or 07956 348563. Thanks for taking the time to read this thread, Geoff
