    woodturning

most woodturn chucks come with 2 sets of jaws, small diameter and large, they expand out to grip in a recess, and grip like a traditional chuck.
  2. Good you got it back, good they got nicked, probably get off mind, hope you get it all up & running without too much expense.
  3. :001_smile:Thanks for all advice to all, might have a look at the show. any more advice always welcome.
  4. Thanks Dean, I think the 23 could be too heavy for me, I quite like the teupen, but agree outreach is a priority,do you think I'm being realistic ot around 20k,or gonna get a load of worn out rubbish to look at?
  5. Used a few, wish for a weight of under 2000kg, so can tow with my Lr130,that limits me to about 15m,obviously reliability etc is a consideration, dont wish to spend much over 20k, and want a reputable source to buy from. thanks SWB.
  6. I quite like the idea of getting'sacked' !
  7. Thinking about a second hand 15m tracked cherry picker, any idea of a trustworthy dealership, preferably around essex, but can travel. Also, best make,I like teupen 14.9,but that single cylinder diesel is noisy, honda petrol do power some, that tempts me, so come on please, lets have some advice! Thanks in advance!:001_smile:

    woodturning

I've been turning for 5 years, great pastime, look at ceramic shapes, old crockery etc to get some ideas on shape and form, there is always a turning club local, they tend to have turning demos on weekends.
  9. you could try a squash ball, they are small enough to fit in your pocket.
  10. I can legaly carry about 1.35 tonnes, the box will take 4.5 cubic yards, and is about 6foot 3inch by 8ft 6.
  11. :laugh1:Good on you, it takes guts to take a loss like that so philosoficaly!
  12. In an ideal world we would all have trained/competent rescue climber, but financial constraints depict that I for one can't always achieve this, try as I might. I'm not 'to tight',hopefuly not ignorant,Certainly not ignorant enough to insult people in the course of discussion! the vote stats speak for themselves methinks. Any climbers out there want groundies money?
  13. : :dito:to the dioralyte, or similar, makes a difference.
  14. Here ya go, might put ally into framework instead of the ply, people think its a film set for heartbeat (greengrass).
  15. Cost 3/4 grand, you night get some back if you can sell the rear tub, you could build your own for 1.5 / 2 thousand, its not that hard if you have time and can weld steel cut ally etc. I built mine with steel and marine ply, a mate done his in ally & steel,Mine was a 130,had been on the railway all it's life before I got it.I'll post a pic in a minute.
  16. No , never eaten it,I would like to keep an eye on the tree's progress/decline,as it is to be left to it's own devices,(and those of the sulfur tuft),but it is too far away from my normal work radius.
  17. Its a cracking little chipper in my opinion, owned one for 2 years, no worries, keep the blades sharp like any other chipper. they are so easy to push about ,we also use a tw150, but more often than not the 125 fits the bill. No stress no feed works fine, leylandi when its raining needs the user to slow down a bit as they can block if you ask too much of the honda petrol engine. sorry to enthuse about its qualities, but in my opinion it is a viable machine.
  18. :001_smile:Bet the tree outlived the pilots, without shooting back!
  19. Found this up an ash today!
  20. Try danequip, good people,01420 476248.
