  8. Shot in the dark, is bar groove pinched, rev saw to turn chain for a minute, turn off saw,feel round bar for hot spot/pinch,check bar groove gauge all round, also is any shaving trapped under chain brake coil
  9. I'd buy a shiny new chipper to go with that bazooka,park it out front with a good line of fire and wait for someone to try and nick it! beats fishing by a long shot!
  10. I've a year 2000 dosco with hydrostatic drive,kholer v twin 20hp motor,they do the same machine with honda engine(same eng. as timberwolf t125 chipper) that may be worth a look,try googling'danequip'. hope this broadens your choice.

    Too old?

    I'm 49 and still climbing,maybe not as fast as the younger climbers but I earn a living, my work partner is 43 and has no worries either. if you want to do it go for it, might take a while for muscle groups to adapt but that applies to all ages.
  20. take it to a good service centre for a look, eyes on gives an advantage. i know a reet goodn in essex, dont know where you are based, probably wont cost loads, unless its cattle trucked, does sound like c/shaft endfloat now though. if you sort it let us know!

  22. is the clutch drum the same depth as the old one?
  23. replace bearing and drum,remembering to grease needle bearing, maybe?
