Bit 'upmarket' for me those windbreaks! When I started this thread I thought myself the only scruffy oik using windbreaks....but it is comforting to find out that I share good company!

Check all fuel lines are sealed properly, and no blockages, fuel filter clean & no water in tank,eeeerm, is there a fueltank breather? if none of these, back to carb.

Said I would,even if they are boring, still nice old dosco 691sp,on leylandi roots,nice and soft! Paid £1000 for her,she was a milenium baby.

does it reach max revs under mild load? if not check throttle linkage/carb opening full for a start.
