  2. What you moaning for,you get 90% of your wood nicking it off my jobs!
  3. Preloved | timberwolf chipper/shredder 125 tw ph for sale USED TIMBERWOLF TW125PH - Brush Chippers for sale £ 5250 Green Plant UK Limited - Timberwolf Road Tow 125 PH Chipper
  4. Defined as once they place twigs, not when they lay eggs. If the tree is v dangerous you might get round it.
  5. Keep the blades sharp, and carry a bit of slab to deflect the exhaust and they are brill! Good luck in your hunt.
  6. Well that took guts!Ratchet strap would have deffo been on it if I was going up there, and probably from adjacent tree for anchor. Having said that I have'nt seen the tree from all sides, and hat off to you for doing it!
  7. No mate,in another environment maybe, but too many targets, house insurance wanted it down. I had sugested a pollard but got a firm 'NO !'
  8. Good luck mate, on the leaflets show that you carry all the required insurance, and maybe mention tpo aplications undertaken to separate you from some of the lesser competition, and you have been established in the area for x years.
  9. Yes it was on an ash limb,as the growth rings of the timber depict,it also had fairly advanced ganno at the base, hence take down in a built up area. the whole tree virtualy was infected, that particular piece was jumbled up in the heap in the yard by the time I got my paws on it,but most of the wood has hollows or shows similar colour. We had a bat inspector on site to check each piece we lowered out, used a soft fell approach taking out whole limbs and lowering gently to the ground.no bats were found. She was a big old ash, shame to have to take it but was getting dangerous. The piece shown is about 18 1nches in diameter.
  10. If you have time on your hands then yes,its the only way the travellers get work,& they wont waste time on it if it does'nt work. Bit of a stigma attached to it,but lots of legit trades also use flyers. Desperate times, desperate measures! Also, not being funny, but if work dries up,scrap metal has been very good recently,I would! Hope it all picks up for you now easter is gone.
  11. Dont you just love a 'can you just'!
  12. Put a cloth in the crankcase opening for start to stop it dropping down there, try suporting the piston(2nd pair of hands)get one edge of the circlip in the groove and push the rest in at the same time compressing it with a bit of kindling or such like,so as not to scratch the piston. Ensure the gudgeon pin is all the way in to expose the internal groove/seat for the circlip first, hope this helps,oh & give it all a coat of oil first.
  13. It was done in a school 'narure walk' I worked on,I was quite impressed as the roots upturned were willows,,,,,,must go back to see how they are growing as it was 2 years ago!
  14. Tracing paper or one skin of white toilet tisue over the flash will difuse the onboard flash ,try it!
  15. These are great cameras, very good on close up pics, and respectable non digital zoom.
  16. Good knot in my opinion, never had one creep, just dress & set, leave a couple inches of tail. I like it as it holds the carabina tight, saves loading across the gate.
  17. Yes I would bang a new clutch in there aswell, also new thrust race bearing. SOME vehicles can have a solid mass conversion done while you are in there,I know they do them for tranies and landrover td5's,and thbe parts are cheaper. I think the downside of this conversion is a less refined cabin space environment,ie more noise,as the dual mass reduces engine vibes transmitted back through the vehicle.
  18. Nasty cut, looks like you severed a finger tendon.
  19. This was my arm from page 3,about 2 weeks after the cut. Didn't fancy the hospital by the time we finished work, so used superglue dots, and those breath right nose strips, they are brill!
