  1. That is the boss!! H&S??? this is a farm mate, those two dont enter into the equation as i understand it.:001_tongue:
  2. Haha nice one. Yes to the fish nets, but not under ballistics- just dont bother with ballistics:blink:And no to jodphurs- i dont ride horses, actually i dont even share the love of them that my family do:huh:
  3. I have looked at them several times to be mounted on their side. Unfortunately the 110 is a tad too short to accomodate onethat would be of any use. 130 or you sherpa would be fine though Rupe.
  4. Some of the ex army munitions boxes are very useful looking, and are waterproof too.
  5. Hahahaha. Nice touch. Send some down here janey, ill plant them all over the local estate we call "beireut"!
  6. I am with you there..... 13th century norse legend has it that the earth was born out of a mighty ash that is named Yggdrasil, whose branches reach to the heavens, and whose roots extend to 3 other worlds, Asgard, Jotunheim and Niflheim. It is the tree where the gods held their court, and whose branches spread over the whole universe. It was an olive ash that started me on my sawmilling career, before which i saw everything as firewood:scared1:. It is such a mighty tree, with such strong grain, but which yields beautifully to the splitting maul and provides warmth, yet will give up timber of the utmost beauty- we have a lot of olive ash here in cornwall- which will sustain shock and wear for years and years of service. My favorite though.....still undecided.
  7. he-he i think your right mate. Yeah its my top yard, where i stick logs and store saw logs before they are to be milled. Olly is only 8. Not bad eh? Start em young i say.
  8. Est-ce-que nous devons ecrire en francais......?
  9. Just found my log splitter..... very keen...... right on my doorstep too........ its not the fastest in the world but given the cost and convenience.........
  10. Hahahaha. Keep the saga going Ty, loving hearing about it................ 'More tales from across the pond.....'
  11. :lol:what have our lives become.....saturday night talking about the crappest tv sitting in front of computers!!
  12. I think all due respect to you for posting. You have learned from this experience from two ways- the events of today, and the answers/ constructive criticism you have rceived here. On the insurance front, if you need/ want to rely on someone elses insurance, get them to put their name on top of the jobsheet, as if its their job and you should be covered........Basically handing the job over. Better that than work that close to a road uninsured. I did wonder why if you had all that rigging etc set up why you didnt dismantle it in the first place?
  13. Seriously???? That would be awesome mate. Give me a ring or pm later. :cool1:
  14. Well, things have changed a little at my end. I was contacted by a guy from RDPE who used to be with Working Woodlands. Having read all the helpful posts above, and speaking to the grant guy, i got back in touch with him and postponed my application, until i was absoloutely sure of the direction i want to take it in.
  15. Wait a moment there....unless you have got some paraplegics entering, some of us, well me actually, probably wont be getting any points anyway:001_tt2: That is unless you award points for the slowest.............
  16. Yeah, hes a bit too far up tho. He was my first thought. If no-one nearer then illl be on the fone to him. He could bring his tracked Jensen too- got a few days for that next week where i cant get my vermeer to.
  17. hey cornish members- do any of you have a logsplitter i could (borrow:blushing:) hire for 24 hours. I have kiled, a while ago, my ancient screw type, and have a load of stuff here that my axe wont touch. Its not for commercial firewood production, just to tidy up the yard. If not, does anyone know where i can hire one. Need someting that can take big ugly ash rings etc and horrible bony stuff. Self powered or tractor driven ok. Ta.
  18. Who cares if it is or not!........great vid.Haha:lol:
  19. I reckon its genuine mate. Just wanted to make his trailer look good, or maybe not put pics of his yard or house up on ebay. Landy a lot for what it is, but genuine i reckon.
  20. I know that image only too well. Unfortunately i never had a camera or decent camera fone when i did loads of that sort of stuff. I miss the buzz of having something looking like WW1 trenches, and getting rid of every last bit of mess and crap whilst producing a work of art....Top stuff Scott.:cool1:
  21. What he said....although i go slightly under a hire company then add on some for time and fuel......at least that is how its explained if a customer asks. 200 a day is the ball park for me.
