  1. Cool vid! They look well hot. Was that close at 3.10 or just a trick of the camera..it was very quick. Check out the sap running off the stump?!
  2. I'm something the same. After missus gettting so badly ripped off 2 months ago i would happily work christmas day if there was work out there.
  3. Yes, those of us who have had to endure thread after thread debating exactly what you have just described know how you feel mate. At the end of the day though this is a place for opinions to be expressed, and there is no way that everyone out of 4000 odd members will agree. Galling sometimes, but just the way it is.
  4. Most of them will still be there in 6 months though, as most of them have been there that long already.
  5. Try Euroforest- i know of an arbtalker that just had an eight wheeler which was mostly ash and he didnt specify. They have regional offices.
  6. I have just refurbed my stove.....i like the smell of that paint....
  7. Steak and guinness pie....very very good.
  8. i cant believe you are even asking that question........:laugh1:
  9. They still got in the region of 138 mogs on that site?
  10. Ian- you are the fountain of all finishing knowledge:thumbup:
  11. Vermeer 620i with 32hp deutz on it. Its about 20 years old at a guess, and is totally bombproof. I paid 1k for it about 9 years ago after using an entec then 2 different tw150s a good friend owned and i could use whenever i needed as he didnt use them much. I got sooo p-ed off with them falling to bits, being slow and unreliable (and the tws were both bought new, not sure about the entec) that i looked for a cheap 2nd hand machine. Put the diesel on it straight away- the engine cost me nowt, and i paid an ag engineer £438 to fit it. I then bought a new anvil (£80) and a new set of blades (£180). It doesnt have a no stress control, and frankly is so overengineered that it doesnt require one. I have been abusing it now for most of the time i have had it, and have lent it and hired it out and i have yet to find bearing play or any other problems. It is basically bombproof and almost unstoppable. I know a lot of people hate the 6 series vermeers, but i have to say i find it faultless and as quick as any modern machine i have used. It will rust to pieces before it goes wrong:lol: And i havent managed to tip it over yet either.... Having said all that though.......i sort of like the tw190:blushing:
  12. Been sunny all day today, but the damage has been done....
  13. I was skint last chrimbo, so everyone got chopping boards, some carved with names. They went down very very well. Cant use danish oil for food products tho. Tung oil is my fave, with a lovely nutty smell and very good water proofing, but i think Mr Leach is the person to ask about that.
  14. I dont think its at all picky Dave- one which a surprising number of people dont seem able to grasp.
  15. Absoloute bargain. Best boots ever IMO.
  16. I have to say that IN MY OPINION you are better off steering well clear of an ebay entec ........or any entec for that matter. If you want a cheap chipper look for something which was a bit better than entec when it was new, and you may avoid a whole world of hurt later. I am amazed at all the posts saying how good they are. I have yet to meet anyone who says they were/are anything but total rubbish.
  17. Me too mate- if i hadnt been wearing a corset my sides would have split.... Still, i'm sure it helped the original question get answered.
  18. This might be of interest.... Is Glass Liquid? (No, but it is complicated!) sciencegeekgirl
  19. There is a great big shiny thing up in the sky today, and no water is falling on me.....what the hell is going on?? I seem to hve a distant memory of this happening before......i have a feeling (dont laugh) that its called something like 'sunshine' :laugh1:Its not forecast to last mind:thumbdown:
  20. Chainsaw carvers love it. Can it not be used for softwood cladding too?
  21. What a truly bizarre contraption!!
  22. I love those hycrack splitters. they split most stuff and are pretty much as quick as you can load it:thumbup1:
  23. Good one Tommy.. BTW i like your avatar, i reckon its pretty funky.
