  1. o rthe old 'slippery nipple'........a shot of baileys floating on top of a shot of sambuca....lethal stuff.
  2. The xzl are a very very good tyre. The only off road michelin, as BFG are the off road department of michelin, hence the incredible longevity.
  3. Will, there are sure to be some helpful comments along any time soon mate........
  4. he does.................allegedly:001_tt2:
  5. Good stuff mate. i have enjoyed many of your youtube vids before now. Welcome to arbtalk BTW!
  6. That is soo true, but is the flip side of Andy's post- people seem incapable of leaving their cars behind, donning an extra layer or two and walking to work, and kids dont seem to be allowed to walk anywhere anymore either:confused1:
  7. Like'em or not, it is undeniable that whatever you give them they take it. No matter what i do to mine i havent managed to bend the chassis yet....my hilux lasted about 2 months and i broke its back:thumbdown:.....just the beginning of a long line of probs with that thing, and its successor, never mind the hidous rust levels throughout it:thumbdown:
  8. Dan- no offence meant!!:001_smile:Blowing up diffs is usually through abuse, thats all, and that level of abuse is usually served to company owned vehicles where the driver(s) dont have to foot the repair bill.
  9. So do you own a landy, or just abuse someone elses? Just been reading through this thread again....jap vs landy is sooooo fking boring, esp when the main thrust is reliabilty and rust. Anyone got anything original and interesting to comment on .........? BTW 1mm of metal makes 1 inch of rust....
  10. Crikey john, that pic is AWESOME!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!:thumbup1:
  11. Hamadryad, i wish you every sucess in the future friend. That is an AWFUL tale you tell, one which i wouldnt wish on anyone. Fair play for getting through it all with your sanity intact.
  12. Me too- good timber leylandii, if you can get it in big pieces, which is fairly uncommon. The sapwood rots readily enough, but the heart wood is very durable and hardly splits, being made up of c.macrocarpa x c.nootkatensis which are both very durable timbers.
  13. WTF are we whingeing about......??:blushing:
  14. No, the tractor belongs to my neighbour but i can borrow his gear when i want. Thats his yard tractor- he has 4 john deeres- that 60hp 1950, a 6400, a 6920 and a 6930!! Tops.
  15. That new pattern looks even better than the old one- i am in line for a pair on the front any day now- i cant wait!! http://image.dieselpowermag.com/f/9106325/0801dp_03_z+tire_test+bfgoodrich_mud_terrain_km2.jpg
  16. The mud is over the front axle of that tractor all round that area of the farm....getting a bit depressing now to say the least....
  17. Yeah, but haix protector pros, gore tex lined, warm and waterproof and bombproof.:thumbup1:
  18. Runnimg 285/75/16 bfg mud terrains. Very rarely stuck, bery well mannered on road, and the fronts are still going after about 2 years of abuse. Brilliant tyres, probably the best i have evr found. They are quite pricey at about 140 a piece, but worth every penny i reckon.
  19. I have been milling larch all morning- making 33x45mm batons. What sort of austin is it? I have been using this:
