  1. Very cool mate.....very weird, but very cool!!
  2. No one in cornwall does it- i tried for years to get on a course, but the lack of big trees in any numbers meant the course couldnt happen. There are big trees down here, but not enough to support a course, so i would have to go to Devon. It kinda irrelevant now as I have learnt anyway.....
  3. I think that for any of us to make that judgement would be unfair, given the number of suppliers that advertise on Arbtalk. You will have to do the legwork yourself on this really, by phoning around. I would say that of all the suppliers out there, the ones who advertise on Arbtalk are more than likely the ones to use.....
  4. lol:biggrin:
  5. Thanks Dave, I didnt feel bad, in a mo they will admit they have been teasing and that its actually an ilex.....
  6. Well done mate........which idiot said holm oak....sack him!! It was obviously a fraxinus sp.:laugh1:
  7. Nah- i stand by ilex- look at how checked the bark is, and i am pretty sure you can see serrations on one of the leaves....
  8. I reckon the top half is q.ilex, grafted onto something else.
  9. Ill look out for it.....
  10. Other than spelling 'big' correctly...(without the 'u' in it:blushing:)
  11. There is more than an element of truth in your post Hamadryad. The actual building blocks of ALL life on earth and the interaction between all the living organisms and the earth itself are all working at individual base levels......the invisible things are actually the things that make it all work in other words. We as 'individuals' are just large vessels of chemical and electrical activity, and on an even smalller scale, we are not even individuals, but mere facets of one enourmous molecular interaction........
  12. NOt so much elaboration, just mucho learning!!!
  13. I have been readimg this thread with great interest.......but now my head s spinning a bit:blushing:...what an education guys. Keep it coming (i'm sure you will!)
  14. The HTC cant upgrade, as it is missing some required hardware apparently.
  15. Best thing that could happen to a chihuahua IMO.
  16. Great thread Rob. Lovely to see it done elsewhere..... David, the black box holds chain oil, as with the saw running on its side with biug bars for extended periods of time the oil is lost before it reaches th cutting edge of the bar, and the sawdust is extremely fine too.
  17. Apple nicked the idea from nokia anyway....
  18. Good choice on tha second hand machine then i reckon mate:thumbup1:
  19. Garths figures are similar to what i pay down here.
  20. HOw come you went for a 2nd hand unit- was it alot cheaper than new, even after all the extra bits? Bryce sumo, or king hitter, and put a point on the strainers, and drive em in.....
  21. I use zingit. Its ok.
  22. I have been haulibng tonnes of sycamore from the king harry ferry area, and there is tonnes more to come. PM me your details.
