  1. I've just got ms 365Home for £80 online from the ms website. But its a years licence. I thought that pretty good. Easy to set up as well.
  2. Thr arrse forum is really damming,, but the RBs lost their name over the brakes which were then modified. But as the vehicle had lost its name it never recovered it. I think they were ok at the end, I don't think the payload is enough for me at the moment.
  3. I thought about a RB but decided that for the relatively limited extra capacity and o licence etc I'd go for something a bit bigger, but if it suit your model then I don't really see any dramas. Otherwise I really like them. I liked them when I drove them in the Army.
  4. Has anyone tried/got a pfanner cordura forest jacket?
  5. Yes there within my price but don't meet all the specs. TBH I've been focused on the kit rather than the task. Anyway I may have found something., I'll know on Monday then watch this space for photos. Cheers Mark
  6. Thanks for all the replies. I'm now feed up of looking at trucks on the internet. As I'm under some time pressure due to the delay of months from my first truck and lack of trucks meeting my requirements and available cash, I've decided to go for a 2x4, I think the crane is more important than 4wd. So what are people's opinion of A DAF LF 45-180? I'm pretty happy with the other trucks I'm looking at. On be day I'll have exactly what I wasn't😀 but I'm watching the pennies at the moment... Cheers Mark
  7. Nifty, I've Looked at that and not sure an old Bedford is up to it. I was initially after a Bedford TM but there just too old. Cheers
  8. That's my perfect truck - it's s also the one I lost out on at auction!😈. It's a really tidy piece of kit and would be easy to put high sides on!
  9. Hi All, After putting a deposit down on a truck some months ago the deal has fallen through and having just been out bid at auction, I'm now pretty keen to get a lorry or mog. My outline requirements are: 4x4 Tipper Crane It will be used for tree surgery in rural areas. I've got about 15k but could give more for the right truck. I would really need something I can put to work quickly. Anyone know of anything? Cheers
  10. Joe, you won't fancy a couple of days hedge laying would you?
  11. H Joe, sounds like the electric issue is with the earth strap from the back of the engine to the bulk head - easy fix! Not sure what it's worth sorry, I'd have thought the condition of the chassis is important. Simon from Coinros asked if I'd be interested😀 Cheers Mark
  12. Cheers Bob. Does your truck run a tacho? I'm assuming its not that much hassle for Arb work?
  13. Truck is Mercedes Atego 1823 4x4! Cheers Mark
  14. Hello all, The truck I'm planning on buying may not happen unfortunately. However, I have a chance on a 02 Mercedes Actors 1823 4 x4. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they good solid trucks? Any ideas how much fuel they use and servicing costs etc. Also obviously I'd need a tacho on it, what's for that income and how much will it cost (it has a electronic tacho fitted so I assume I'd need a card etc)? Any info would be much appreciated as I'm about to start taking the 'web for info. Oh, also anything I should look out for in particular? Cheers Mark
  15. Well said. In the UK we're dealing with to second grade terrorists at the moment, wait until the really good ones get here. Why do people get so excited about their 'human rights'? If a computer scanning emails etc stops someone bleeding to death in the streets in this country or another. Then crack on. If it leads to a conviction, crack on, if it leads to a lethal strike so be it. If you don't like it google image search ISIL and see what opposition groups (not the majority of Muslims) want to do (western) Christians. This problem is going to go away and the time isn't right for diplomacy yet. Rant over!
  16. Sorry to jump in, but I have a question. Need to replace a couple of bars and get some new chains. Looking at the chainsaw bars site (Rob that's yours isn't it)? There's a selection of bars, but what is the best and why. I've not been impressed by a few husqy ones and my Oregon on on my 660 hasn't lasted well. So what makes a good bar? Is a stihl bar worth the extra money? Are the sugi/sugihara much better? Rob stand by for and order. Cheers Mark
  17. I find on mine very rarely do the rollers clog, but my in feed rollers are shagged. If it looks like its about jam I put some firewood through it (or a strainer post) and that soon clears it out. I think with new rollers it wouldn't be a problem. In all seriousness the only issue I have with mine is that I'd like a tracked one. I'm even considering making one.
  18. I have a tp200 mobile it's awesome, simple robust, easy to work on and chips at hell of a rate. Can't wait until the new tp210 t tracked is released.
  19. Go for it. Any Q's as you go through the process let me know by pm. Cheers Mark
  20. Just go to your local army recruiting office and ask about the reserves. Get some brooches then go back and say what you want to join. Then stand by for the thrashing of you life... And enjoy! Fortune favours the brave
  21. Why CP? It looks to be a really dull job to me tbh. Are you to old to join the army? Might be with trying to join the (ahem) RMP they have a CP branch. Otherwise you can't compete with the SF boys. Or perhaps try 21 or 23 SAS bit you'd need to dedicate a lot of time.
  22. Arborist, don't do it. I think the best days of that sort of thing have long gone now.
  23. Yes Pete, Treemme, I've got the orange ones as well as my summer/second pair. Of they don't fit properly and are uncomfortable then you may as well wear flip flops. Not much worse than blisters. Mark
  24. Oh, it's a really specialist group who can't type proper😀😀😀
  25. These are mine after about 9 months use over the last year or so. I know they're not popular but after 17 years in UHF infantry theses are the best boys I've ever had! Gen! I think they're much better than anything Meindl or Hiax have made for about 10 years. In fact the only boots that come close are my Lowa Mountain Combat boots (but no protection in those).
