    Avant 420?

Cheers Dean, I'm buying a lorry, so it would be useful for moving big time to the truck if I can't get the truck within crane reach. 12k sounds good value to me. You don't see used ones come up very often.
  3. Cheers Silky of that on an android device or laptop. I can't find the + on my tablet. I'll try the laptop tomorrow. There's more than 1 type of PM? ....
  4. John, Yes I've got aux on the transfer box. I'm not bothered, but interested. I'm planning to I put a tracked chipper in the back or tow a trailer.

    Avant 420?

Hi Dean, Where is that from? It sounds a good deal to me. Do you use it most days? Mark
  6. That's great, I bet the handling is a bit challenging though😁😁
  7. OK I'd agree with that makes me feel less incompetent! So how do you attach a photo from arbtalk on a laptop, it asks me for a URL and no option to browse? Thanks
  8. I agree, it would be a shame to burn it, especially as there's plenty of bits for firewood. I just sort of lack the time and imagination at the moment. Perhaps I'll make a sperate stack of mill worthy timber...
  9. How do you do the above? I can't figure it out. Thanks Mark
  10. Hi I've got this sweet chestnut in the field. Two 3m lengths, the biggest 750mm dia the other 600mm. Is it worth milling, if so what for does it move much? Or it will be firewood, looks a bit too good for firewood though. Cheers Mark
  11. Did you put the tpl on the truck? Was it hard to do?
  12. Sorry for fat fingers on this bloody phone!
  13. But quite got it yet. But by christ I need it. Lesson number 1 don't plan jobs on having plant until you actually have it... Looking good for Saturday though, its going for its MOT on Thursday. Mark
  14. I've brought one but it's taken ages to get it ready for collection. Anyway I'm hoping to get it on the weekend. Don't see any reason why you can't do what you want as ag. Just use it within the restrictions. Mine will be run on an o licence. I reckon it should be good for me I need 4x4 and a crane and large capacity. It's a bit bigger than a mog but should have greater payload. I'll get a thread going on Friday here when it arrives. Mark
  15. Definitely worth considering a Tp as well. I've been very happy with mine.
  16. Cheers, than you for the responses, I'll go to the local motors factors for a start.
  17. Hi all, despite a good search I can't find a UK dealer supplying the air filters for my danequip sp27 (Kohler command 27 engine). I'm putting this down to 'man looking' as my wife says, but I've given up and turned to arbtalk. Anyone know where I can find service parts without going through danequip? Cheers Mark
  18. Been replacing the bearings on my stump grinder, nothing exciting. I thought I'd replace the air filter but can't find them anywhere in internet shire? Its a danequip with a Kohler command 27 with a never duty air filter, anyone know where I can get one and the fleecy internal bit? Cheers Mark
  19. And his fag wouldn't have gone out.
  20. It'd be more effective with a bit of swing😁😁😁
  21. They sound ripe for a bit of ar**hole tax to me. Your price sounds very reasonable and they want it done next week, that's worth a fair wedge if you have to rearrange your diary. Nutters

    VW Touareg

Just to complicate the issue I had a hire toerag w12 for 6 months in Germany. It got properly abused on and off road. Hammered to an inch of its life on the autobahn and following tanks around the training area as well as just having some fun:) It never missed a beat apart from lots of punctures due to picking up empty ammunition cases (not likely to be a problem for you or the cars fault). The tracking used to get pushed out when thrashing it off road but you wouldn't drive your own car like that (it spent a bit of time in the air). It went back with 9000 km on the clock the agent had to check because he said it looked like it had done 90000! I was impressed tbh.
  23. The exemption I referred yo earlier applies the vehicles over 25 years old. OK for my lorry but not my LR.
  24. Does the age exemption for older lorries still apply? I can't remember the details but it's something along the lines of 12 years old or older a tacho is not required. I'll have to check this evening.
