  1. As above really. I'll be using it primarily for towing a grain trailer which I intend to chip into, possibly some hedge cutting and running the firewood processor. I was thinking perhaps 100hp as a minimum really (not sure where I arrived at this figure) and over not got the trailer yet, but will be borrowing a 10t one fit the time being. I would also like a loader or front links. What HP do you think I should be looking at? Cheers Mark
  2. They sound the business to me. Thanks
  3. Cool, are they PTT or voice activated? I think I will get some soon😁😁
  4. Terrafirma big bore with their HD springs and helpers (2" lift). It's great hardly ever looks over loaded
  5. The engine on my grinder gave up this week, I've not striped it down but first investigations look like broken up piston. So, does anyone have a 'good un' fur sale? Or where is the best (cheapest/quickest) place to get a new engine? Also are there any other replacement engines that are with a look as an alternative? I've not started a major step down yet, I'd it with it? Cheers Mark
  6. Ha ha, loving that... Stephen, what sort of tasks do you find the tracked barrow excels at? Just wonder how much flexibility to lose by getting one rather than waiting for an Iron Horse? Cheers Mark

  9. Cheers guys. I think the oxen may be a bit big for what I'm after. Great, love that video confirms is the correct tool fit me. Pete, I'll give them a bell. Cheers
  10. Mines a bit low on power has the lift pump made a real difference? Was it easy to do? Cheers Mark
  11. Just put Delphi's on mine. Hope they last for ever😁
  12. I've decided I need an iron horse (missed the one arb trader). Anyone got one for sale? What are the alternatives looked at a tracked barrow but looks like it lacks the versatility of the team deal. How do people so use tracked barrows get on? I'll be using it for the normal variety of surgery tasks, about the yard, sending the wife to the shops (perhaps not she'd cut my swingers off😈)etc Cheers Mark
  13. £3.50 a foot! Your never get that, pop star wages😁😁
  14. That may be OK but it's the clear up etc. However, would you be happy the charge the same for 1 at a 100'?😈😈 then consider what if the 100' was a conifer or beech...
  15. You're right Bob, land rover parts are cheap, easy find and normally easy to repair - you just have to accept that they need proper maintenance and frequent repairs 😊😆
  16. Hard life those Toyota's have driving around with a few undernourished rag heads in them....
  17. Landy front diff - 5 teeth knackered . Day lost fixing and changing cracked brake disc.
  18. Where are you I've got one for sale? Pm me.
  19. Old Mill, good post. ☺
  20. I've got an 18 tonner and there is very few places I can't get into. I would very carefully about the truck as a system and be less worried about gvw. Buy don't go small, and I can't recommend getting a hiab enough, probably has more impact on my business than the carrying capacity of the lorry - although God knows what I'd do with all the big lumps of wood without a lorry...
  21. Was grippy because the photos were rotated through 90 degrees. Not convinced the location on the crane makes any odds. Just lock all the diffs and off we go unless we've sunk in mud!
  22. John, I know what you're saying and I was planning to move the crane forward and put a tipper on the back. However, I think you get more reach with the crane on the back, marginal I know, but every bit counts! What truck do you run and why do you prefer the crane behind the cab? Cheers
  23. Hi Jon, some photos for you. Really handy bit of kit but not sure what to do about converting it to a tipper. I don't want to move the crane's but have been warned off a side tipper... Oh it also really grippy as you can tell by 2 of the photos😁😁😁
