  3. Sincere condolences to his family especially from a fellow biker
  4. Truth's out Dean. I smoke! That will be the problem.
  5. Ditto that tommer. Get really bad pain in both hands at top part of fingers, they go white and once that happens, it's bloody painful. Great in the summer, but once it get's cold that's me done unless I can keep going and warm. Have to put my hands on the tractor exhaust sometimes to get going again. Gloves on of course
  6. Will a Jo Beau be enough as I am in Middlewich. 4 miles away. Can take the chip and timber. Give me a call 07854 312419 Cheers John Wild

  9. I'm doing it mate. It'll be a nice climb!
  10. Pretty quiet. Did a small job yesterday and got a decent Oak reduction job on Saturday, yippee! Otherwise quiet. All the 'Russian Oak is split and stacked. Cheers for that, will post some pics when I next go up to the yard. Let me know when you need me next?
  11. You should have told him to 'go on his travels'!
  12. The fact is the ever increasing number of single mums who 'require' homes. They are the one's who need educating
  13. Dean. I have five children. Am very proud of them. Not one a scrounger. All educated, brought up well and have 3 married and in good jobs. My eldest is serving Queen and Country, and that makes me proud. I have never scrounged, neither have any of my family. I do not agree with your ideal. We will need educated people to run our country, not scroungers and lowlifes?
  14. I was there, got the bargain of the day! 2 boxes of gloves (24) @ 50p a pair. Thought some of the stuff went for silly money. A lot of people seemed to be bidding for items, which when you added on the 15% buyers fee then they were charges 20% VAT on that as well came up to retail prices. I don't think some of the buyers realised this. One example: A box of Hi-Viz shirts. 4 shirts went for £30.00 plus 15% plus Vat. The retail price per shirt was only £10.00?
  15. And burning some of it tonight. Great wood, no spitting!
  16. Just lost a Large Willow takedown. Quoted £475 and the client said it was a fair price. Then he rings me tonight and apologises, he had a quote in for £380. I can't drop my price by that amount, you just lose face by doing that game. Let him get on with it. I'm splitting Russian Oak all day instead!
  17. Hell yeah. Will be seasoned softywood for next years season. Cheers Paul, good day. Now about this Russian Oak Madame, it's £xxx a cube Ha ha!!!!!
  18. Think you need to walk before you run mate.
  19. Mick, welcome to the forum. Work is very quiet at the moment and I'm sure many people on here have read your post, but are not in a position to offer work. Hopefully, things will pick up for everyone and you might get a break. Good luck man. I have a son in the army!
  20. A bit of advice as to the legal bit. You have been asked to come in for a formal interview. You can attend and listen to the questions and then once they have read out all said questions, ask for time to take advice. Say 1 week. You can then state that you will return with your answers in writing. Ensure all questions are written down for you so you can take a paper copy. I would say you have nothing to worry about, bearing in mind you were employed. Do not rush in with your answers though
