  1. You need to measure the length width and height in metres, then multiply your measurements. That's volume mate. Length x width x height:thumbup1:
  2. Can you give me a price for the lot. Also delivered to CW10 9JE

    Thanks

  3. If it was my friend, then as a professional, I would feel duty bound to him and his family to advise him that he should at the very least complete a basic chainsaw user course. You can then sleep soundly.
  4. He must be a bit hard, no hat, no gloves or jacket.....or is his pick-up parked just round the corner:001_tongue:
  5. Pete you might want to give a few details. Where are you based etc.
  6. Put mine up by £10 as well from 1st December. It's hard graft logging:thumbup1:
  7. Mortgage paid off then I can relax:biggrin:
  8. Don't know what all the fuss is about. I've been logging for the past week it's -11C and i just get on with it. If people can afford to go away at Christmas then good for them. The only thing I think needs changing is daft buggers who drive too fast on icy roads and create a 2 hour delay because they caused a stupid accident
  9. What price and why are you selling if you qualify for a grant?
  10. You also have to think of adapting what skills you have. Set up in log sales for next season. Buy in timber if you have to. Kept me busy from Dec - Feb this year and am now close to selling out of firewood. Things go up and down in this game. Have heart, those that don't give up will win.........eventually!
  11. What is the assessment and pass criteria for CS30? Was the assessor asleep? I think you will find that the criteria for BASIC cross cutting is of a smaller diameter than what you have given the lad. I would not have left him to it. Rather, watched him do the first few cuts and then when satisfied, let him carry on. Personally, think it's your fault not the lad. Give him support and encouragement. IMO it was a lack of his confidence in cutting large diameter timber
  12. Will be sticking to locally sourced wood methinks!
  13. Cheers for the comments.Thought it was a bit iffy.
