  1. Hired this one before and hired it again for a job last week. 3 Horse Chestnuts and 1 Sycamore to remove in a large garden with limited access. Furthest tree was about 100yds from where I could get the chipper to and all timber had to be processed into logs and left where we chipped. FANTASTIC MACHINE is my impression. Cost £70 /day and if I'd had an extra 3 men on site there's no way they they could have done what it did. It also made a very handy saw bench for logging
  2. Nice work Ross. Can I sense some "Holland" influence creeping in ?
  3. Industrial Access, based in Glasgow Tel. 01417749095. I use them a fair bit and always been good. Tell them Robin at Caledonian Tree Care gave you their number.
  4. I know where there is an undercarriage from a 13t Daewoo, will find out more today.
  5. what kind of excavator for the 13t undercarriage ?
  6. Hi Michael. I may be able to put a bit of work your way but I am just a small company so it may just be occasional work. Have you worked as a groundsman before ? If you want send me your mobile number. My email is [email protected]

    Regards, Robin

  7. I'm looking for a climber to help with a job in South Lanarkshire. It will probably be just for one day just now but a good chance for work in the future for the right person. Must have CS tickets and experience. PM me with your details if your interested.
  8. HI. Is the chipper still for sale ?
  9. Jim, thanks for your reply which is what I suspected. It has a filter which I'll replace before making any decision. It's not a sealed unit as it has an oil reservoir which I've checked for level.
  10. Hi all, I recently bought a Countax K18-50 mower at auction. All seemed OK at first but it now it gets slower when going up hill to the point where it doesn't go any further When it does this is sounds like a hydraulic pump which is running low on oil. I've checked the transmission oil level and the drive belt tension and both seem OK. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. They're fantastic mowers. I bought mine second hand 14 years ago and all I've done to it is service it and sharpen the blades. My lawn is about 3/4 of an acre so while the mower hasn't been overworked it has had a fair bit of abuse.
  12. Robert S. Thanks, I use Akro quite often, didn't know they had a tracked one (will phone to enquire) Slasherscot. Thanks, Yeh I knew about Stumpbusters, was wondering what else was out there. Nick. Thanks, it's a long way from London and I doubt if there's enough to make it worth your while. Sandcastles. Thanks. Yeh I know about Delisle will phone to enquire.
  13. Does anyone know where I can hire a tracked stump grinder in Southern Scotland either self drive or operated ? Thanks
  14. Went back to biking a few years ago after a 20 year gap. I bought a 1983 Honda CB650 nighthawk which was the same as the last one I had 20 years ago. Sold it 18 months ago and bought a Yamaha Vmax 1200 . I'm sure my arms are slightly longer as a result of riding it (bl**dy fast) but great fun.
  15. I've got an HTC HD2 which I think is a great phone.
  16. Had a 6718 about 20 years ago. Good enough small tractor for light work.I twisted the half shaft pulling a tanker which was just a little too big for it The built in compressor was handy and if you have a big family or loads of mates you can get them all in the cab at the same time
  17. Built this one myself, works well for me.
  18. I use the Icicle but occasionally use a Distel which is similar, both good knots and smooth to use.
  19. Hi Andy. Can you email me the info to [email protected] Thanks
  20. Thanks for the replies, I'll pass your suggestions on.
  21. Mate of mine is looking for a large mulcher to hire for mulching brash on a clear fell site in the Catterick area probably week before Christmas. Any recommendations ? Thanks
  22. If you are still looking for boots try Clarks web site for a pair of these Lavoro Sherwood Chainsaw Boots £115.00 (VAT exempt) I bought a pair of size 12 but ended up giving them to my brother as I felt they were too big (he takes size 13) and he says they fit great.
  23. Martyn, thanks for letting me know the timber is away !!
  24. Charlieh. posted this from my htc.
  25. HTC HD2 is my current phone & probably one of the best I've had. Touch screen takes a bit of getting used to but then I've got fingers like sausages!! Phone works great with Anquet maps pocket software if you happen to use OS maps (GPS works very well with this).
