  2. Dont forget if you are charging seperate for delivery it is 20% vat
  3. 1st 10 miles free then £1.50 a mile after that

    Larch

Im not sure about a rash but i have done about 30 tons this year through processor and it gives loads tiny splinters so gloves a must. and the sawdust itchs like hell as well, because of the little splinter bits as well i guess.
  5. This is what i do with steves kindling, Selling at £2.50. the price cpl charge the garages is about the same price but not as good quality, near the end of the season 2 years ago cpl's kindling was soaking wet because they started running out of dry stuff.
  6. If you try and charge that much you wont sell any, £5.00 i would of thought would be max for hardwood, and still give a good profit:thumbup:
  7. I have one of the fuelwood bagging trays, exspensive but worth every penny, no snagging logs, no bad back and loads more nets done with the same quantity in every one.
  8. I have the same, some soft wood seems to dry very well in lengths, douglas fir always seems to be dry when i cut it:thumbup:
  9. Its started slowly for me doing 6 - 10cube a week at the mo, about the same as last year still shifted 300 ton by christmas, and getting lots new customers, so hoping for a mild winter so i dont run out too early.
  10. Do you call a load per m3, or do you mean 32 seperate loads, either way that is mental:thumbup:
  11. :thumbup:Was cutting softwood yesterday, how much easier and quicker on proccesor, all nice sze, straight as a die and cuts and splits faster than hardwood, did about 5 cube more than when doing hardwood
  12. The bark is quite smooth a bit like beech, but when cut it looks like oak with tight growth rings, but its a reddish colour
  13. I hope red oak is ok i have got 100tons of it cut and split ready for the winter:thumbup:
  14. Supplying hard and soft wood this year, so far i have sold 75% hardwood, people having soft wood took the soft wood as i told them its dyer than the hardwood i have.
  15. what splitter would you sugest is good, that you do not need to re handle the logs and is as fast at producing logs?
  16. I am using 52x85cm and usually get 38 to 40 from 1.5 m3, they are not tight about 12/13 logs per net using fuel wood bagging tray so each net gets the same amount.
  17. Has any body made one of these yet or is there any thing similar on the uk market? it does look superb halfs the time by acting both ways, and as said put a bag at each end and the logs dont need to be handled twice, would be great for oversize stuff that will not go through our processor.
  18. I am going to charge £90.00 a cube, £125 for 1.5m3, less profit than last year but cant bring myself to charge any more.
  19. yes 3.5 tonne, they are very light when empty hence no grip
  20. This is my delivery vehicle, its great till it snows or touch some grass and then its stuck, gets into small drives and has a small turning circle though. it does not tip just got the hiab for unloading.

  23. The l200 are known for engines blowing up i know 3 people whose have blown up:thumbdown:
  24. I have got about 400ton in so far and 50ton soft wood, 200ton split and ready to go just got wait for the phone to ring now.

  25. had a new customer order 12 cube yesterday to season themselves at a discounted rate, now why cant everyone prepare like that, saves the mad rush as soon as it gets cold.
