1. Do you not need to dry it before you burn it for a clean efficient burn or just throw it in?
2. Just looked at a Dalen 2052 on you tube looked very slow, the 2054 looked faster about the same speed as the hakki 1x42 which I have but the hakki has extra things like hyd slew conveyor and on new ones a filter in the Shute to remove small debris.
3.
Hi can't remember if I gave it too him or not, message him if he still a member that was long time ago, yea not going bad down here, u still busy on logs and kindling?

4. I use a 3hp sip electric motor extractor like the one in the link above, threw all the bags and connected a pipe to the outlet that goes straight into a grain trailer.
5. Been a very slow season with the mild weather, so got lots left ready to go for next winter so a head start:thumbup:

Sawdust

Give it to a local farmer for cattle bedding
7. Are you going to be using that for making kindling?
8. Don't think that sounds any louder than a tractor although it does whine a lot, does any one know how loud the 1x42 processor electric motor is?
9. Thanks for the info it looks like there could be a large saving by using electric, got to get a price for 3 phase to be installed which probably will pay for itself in a coupe of years in savings on diesel, as for sawdust blocking the motor we have a pipe on the sawdust outlet and a electric blower sending all the sawdust into a trailer, or is it the small amount of sawdust that drops underneath the problem?
10. I think the processor I am looking at needs more than 13 hp, it's 15kw what ever that converts to?
11. Yes I do mean diesel tractor as for resale that why I am thinking of combi pto and electric, plus can still use it on tractor if needed say if cutting logs not in the yard.
12. This is similar fuel use to me but just think apart from diesel cost it's wasting money by letting a tractor just sit there clocking up hours and wearing it out, was thinking that 3 phase would free up a tractor and save money.
13. So if the processor motor is 15 kw how would that work out if you take the smallest difference in electric and diesel (17.5p - 13.5p) 4 pence over a day of say 8 hours running? Thanks
14. Hi all thinking of swapping in my 1x42 and getting another one but combi pto and electric motor to run it off of 3 phase. Wondering if there would be much of a saving between electric & diesel as seem to be spending a fortune on diesel? And also is there any better processors than a 1x42 for about the same money if i am going change? Thanks.
15. What you supplied last year was just fine, and hopefully this year it will be the same as well as the price:thumbup:
16. We sold about the same this year as the year before, but that is because in 2010 we ran out by jan and could of sold more, but this year we have not run out, and with this rainy/coldish end to april we are still selling logs now. as for knowing how much wood to buy for the following year what does not sell will keep for the following year
17. Well done sam, good result:thumbup:
18. I have always been charged the same as processor size stuff but more work so try to avoid it if possible
19. You would be better off getting yourself a electric chain sharpene, it does not take long when you get used to them and you get all the cutters exactly the same length then. i use a oregon one which seems a good one.
20. Its mad down here as well. be along time coming but worth the wait:thumbup:
21. it is no good at all only a few orders since christmas but ment to be cold weather coming in thurs/fri with frosts, cant wait:thumbup:
22. the dalen does not look as good as the new all hydraulic hakki 37 and they are both around the same price. for the saw bench option one with a output conveyor is a must to save picking logs up off the floor. the riko 700 looks good for these and not a silly price
23. the blue one from clarke does not fit my oregon mini grinder, i got one last year but it was too big, it was for a larger auto grinder. oregon do a grinding wheel dressing stone for touching up the grinding wheel
24. same her not one order this week only done a couple that where booked from before christmas, although it is so warm im not lighting my fire much, which means customers wont be either, keep your fingers crossed for cold weather its got to come in the end:thumbup:
