  1. to be honest with a nice load on they are great but empty they are a nightmare on slippery grass or deepish gravel
  2. we have 2 canters at the company i work for, ive never experienced the cabstar or driven either, the only thing id say about the canter is the rear can be very light without a load on, ours have gotten stuck a few times on gravel driveways etc and were terrible in the snow, the boxes are a nice convenient design, easily enough to fit in signs cones hedgetrimmer 2 ground saws 020 climbing kits and more we have 2 types of body on our 2 one with high sides and just a rear tailgate, and the other with full doors (good for hiding how large your load is hehe) both have ladder racks on top and we pull a timberwolf 190 and a full load without problems on hills. anyway this is just my experience from working in one not driving, i much much prefer them over a transit anyday.
  3. maybe try putting it in water with the root growth formula powder you can get? i dunno about just sticking it straight in soil.
  4. are you sure that ones open? i heard about the other one round the lanes closing, dunno if it has reopened as we use highams.

  9. shame, the sequoia is a nice harness, would be all the better for a seat hope they get it sorted eventually. klaymeb uses one and she finds its the only one that doesnt crush her hips.
  10. only sit harnesses for me, i cant be doing with the leg loops ones they crush my nads big time and i get distracted by it, the sit ones are really comfortable for me.

  19. the arb apprenticeship can range from 6 to 18 months you can complete it in 6 if you ace everything and do in work assesments, but i doubt that will happen with any of us, we are in college for a year, then have 6 months at work finishing up our assesments, we only get 30/31 on our course, but we do get a nvq level 2 in arb which has a aerial rescue qualification, im looking to get my employer to pay for my 38 and 39 once ive finished the course, its a good course, but could do with 38 and 39 instead of pa1 and pa6. btw what do you usually wear at college? cos i cant indentify a lot of you NC's by outfit lol
  20. im on the arb apprenticeship with klaymeb so we might regocnise you charlie, klaymeb is the only girl on the arb apprenticeship so next time you see her just say hi so we know who you are, i would be up for a bit of a recreational climb, but epping is well out of the way for me, anyone wanna meet up south of the river?
  21. ive really enjoyed this program, i watched the one where they built the pig sty too, the tree felling thing was nice to see and the shire horse skidding it out, but what i enjoyed most was the basket making and the splitting of the wood, that man had a lot of skill.
  22. because of your age have you thought about doing more of a progression, if your going to be taking over the company your doing to want more than just nptc tickets, maybe do something like a nation diploma then a tech cert in arb, im doing an arb apprenticeship myself, but i aim to end up climbing.
  23. thou shalt always nick any 1 tonne bags you come across.
  24. as hes 18 he gets free education from the government, he could do an apprenticeship (min 16 hours work a week aka 2 days) or he could do a National diploma, or a 10 week fast track course for 30 31 38 39, all courtesy of Her majesty's government.
  25. nice strong leather belt everytime, braces just annoy me.
