    200t/020 pricesHi,

I'll get a chance to try and check. Ive been offered it as the tree surgeon that had it has upgraded to new 200ts. Ive had a look at that thread. Some very useful info, thanks. I'll keep you informed. H
  3. Hi, Ive been looking at getting either a 200t or a o20 for light pruning work etc and Ive been offered a complete fair to good running 020 for €180. How does that sound to you lot? Ive heard of 200ts but rairly a 020. Thanks, H
  4. Hi, I managed to pick up a second hand 084 off ebay that came in at £400 delivered to Ireland that I was very happy with. It came with no bar but I already had one. I would recommend looking out for a secondhand big stihl or husky over buying a new smaller one. Thanks, H.
  5. Thats incredable! H
  6. I use a mixture of olive oil and linseed oil on all my turned stuff. I use it as its easily top-up-able. You can use danish oil. I know the liquid you're refering to but cant remember the name. H
  7. One of the best ones......Im there too.....same signin too. H
  8. You're lucky......round here it would just have been ringed for firewood!! H
  9. A turbo will normally give the impression of whistleing if there is no air filter in the air box or you have a split turbo hose that opens at high load. You might have inadvertantly fixed it over time. Thanks, Hugh.
  10. You're looking at between 28 and 30m3 on a legal load. H
  11. Coillte is roughly that price across the country, standard price. You might get it cheaper from the north but haulage might make up the difference. H
  12. Im with adrian flux atm. I have found them ok but you have to watch them thats all and keep a record of what you actually send them, paperwork wise. I also make a point of ringing up for a new customer quote at renewal to be sure that they are offering me the same price. H
  13. Thats a cool wee forklift you have there! I did contemplate getting some monterey pine off work but glad I didnt if its as resiney as you say. H
  14. Especially if you're paying €1200 tax a year!!! Ireland is a nice country but everything is a right rip off. H
  15. Try the Forestry Commission. They normally dont have much problem doing things like this. H
  16. Great Job, From the looks of the photos it looks like you took a pile of birch out too? Is that the case and why did they want to take that off too? H
  17. Knotweed is everywhere over here so anything that might hammer it would be a godsend! H

    woodturning

Thats not a bad price for the chuck there. Where did you get it? When time allows Id get some more backing jaws as I managed to loose a fair number of screws as I was always chaning between jaws. H

    woodturning

Ive got a record CL4 variable speed and sorry but variable speed makes turning so much more of a pleasure. If you get a vibration when the wood is not in balance, you can easily adjust the speed up or down to remove it instantly. I would never go back to a pulley system. I can put photo up later if anyones interested? I use mine mostly for bowl turning of anything from 2" to 24" in diameter. Thanks, H.
  22. Nah,
